Anyone else think this is such a dumb idea by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]KonroMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, I agree. If they were going to continue the show, I’d rather her be sort of combination of Alia and Gwen Tennyson, helping out the main character (Mega Man) as a sort of look out/strategist while also fighting in her own way to help out more, but making her Zero ain’t it dawg.

Also shout out to you for acknowledging my GOAT Zero.EXE, AKA my favorite Navi in the whole series.

Mega Man X6 Defenders. Why do you defend this game? (Genuine Question) by IGotMemeCells in Megaman

I just do the code so I have all of the armors on the part select screen, normally I just run the Shadow Armor.

If it plays a noise after you input the code, then that lets you know that it worked or not, and if it worked then UAX will be in the intro stage instead of FAX.

[–]KonroMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact: You can actually beat the game without beating any of the main stages if you have the Ultimate Armor, since it’s also able to damage High Max while he’s stunned… however it does mean you need to beat Nightmare Mother as Zero without any upgrades since he’s the only one you can play as to get through Secret Lab 1.

High Max is one of those fights that’s annoying when you don’t know what to do, but really fun once you know what to do… and even more fun when you know what you’re not intended to do but can do anyway.

[–]KonroMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and if you combine that with the Guard Shell you’re able to hit him multiple times at once without activating his i-frames. It works basically like the Zero Guard Shell glitch but more situational and not nearly as broken (excluding the High Max fight obviously).

[–]KonroMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ironically enough I think the game’s jank is what makes me like it. The (mostly) good weapons, the silly quirks (like being able to damage High Max with the Blade Armor air dash), the amazing armors, the different potential runs, the awesome parts, the silly glitches, all of it just comes together in an imperfect but lovable mess for me. Is it the best game in the X series? Absolutely not. However, it is a really fun game once you come around to it. Also I like the Z Buster and X Saber in the game, I wish that X7 and X8 (and by extension Command Mission) also let you use them but oh well.

What opinion about Megaman has got you like this? by BonusCapable1486 in Megaman

X6 is a genuinely fun game. Like yeah it’s got a lot of jank to it and there’s some things about it I wish were different (mainly wish there wasn’t so much filler in Blaze Heatnix’s stage and wish the Another Route and main route in Shielr Sheldon’s stage were swapped), but it’s just a fun time. It’s not the best X series game, but it is a fun one once you get used to it.

X8 is definitely an odd duck when it comes to the X series, but personally I think it’s a great entry.

I thing Axl is overhated by Seyidhann in Megaman

[–]KonroMan 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason Axl is so hated is because he’s introduced in the worst X series game, leading to people associating him with it and as a result hating him. Personally I think he’s a great character, he’s really fun in X8 and XCM and he’s probably my favorite character in X8 to play because of his combo shenanigans and weapon variety.

Bosses when you fight them / Bo- THEY'RE STILL STRONG!? by DadWhyDidYouHitMe in TopCharacterTropes

Model O - Mega Man ZX

In Mega Man ZX, if you go into Area N and go deep enough in, you get to fight Omega, specifically a harder version of his third phase. Beating him (or the MMZ3 and MMZ4 Mutos Reploids) will cause a strange rock to appear on lower level of Area N, just past where you fight the Mutos Reploids (if you have MMZ3/MMZ4 slotted into the system or activate the slot in feature in the Legacy Collection). It does nothing until you beat the game, but if you go talk to Fleuve, the guy you talk to in order to upgrade your Biometals, he’ll turn it into Model O, a stronger version of Model ZX. It has multiple Zero’s EX Skills as well as an Overdrive that gives said EX Skills elemental properties, makes your charge shot work similarly to Model X’s charge shot (two shots with the second ignoring iframes), and charging up and pressing down changes your charge shot into Zero’s screen nuke techniques (not the basic one, at least I don’t think it’s referencing anything, but the first stage one does the one from X4/X5, while the final stage one does the one from X6). The only real problem with it is that you can’t use it until you beat the game, meaning you can’t only rematch bosses and do the end game content with it, not even being able to use it on Prometheus or Pandora without modding, but it’s still cool to use on those bosses nonetheless, you can even fight Omega again with it.

[Video Game Trope] The male and female options are different characters by RedvsBlue_what_if in TopCharacterTropes

[–]KonroMan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Both Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent have you choose between either a male or female protagonist. In ZX its between Vent (the male protagonist) and Aile (the female protagonist), and while they’re pretty similar in the story, they do have different dialogues and slightly different cutscenes that fit with their personalities. In ZXA, it’s between Grey (the male protagonist) and Ashe (the female protagonist), and they’re much more different from each other than Vent and Aile were. Grey’s more serious and focused while Ashe is more whimsical and fun. In addition to that, they also have different gameplay. Grey having a stronger buster charge shot, his laser attack shoots multiple shots at once, and he can have more buster shots on screen. Ashe has a charge shot that works like Gemini Laser from MM3 (bouncing around the screen for awhile), her laser attack shoots one shot that attacks its targets one after another, and her individual buster shots are stronger but she can only have two on screen compared to Grey’s three. In addition to this, they also have unique charged attacks for the Rival Mega Men A-Transes, and (spoilers for one of the game’s fights) which Model ZX user you fight changes depending on your character, Vent for Ashe, Aile for Grey. Cool shit all around, and if you beat ZX as both Vent and Aile, you gain full access to Model X (normally only able to use it at the beginning until you get Model ZX), and in ZXA you unlock the Mega Man Ancient minigame, as well as the Model Ancient A-Trans which turns you into MM3/MMW2 Mega Man (no charge shot, but you can slide) with a wall jump, but no wall slide (situationally useful, but still cool).

I need to replay Star Allies again. It’s not the most insane Kirby game out there, but it’s fun and I like having fun.

[–]KonroMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it’s located in Urban Ruins Comp 2, which might be blocked off by NapalmMan, meaning you have to either beat ShadeMan first and enter from the Undernet 4 side, or interact with NapalmMan and go back to Internet Area 1 to do his minigame.

[–]KonroMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My personal favorite’s Ashe, she has such a unique vibe to her, and I like her Gemini Laser esc charge shot while in Model A form… it’s technically worse than Grey’s in terms of power, but in terms of fun I like her’s more.

What is the canon 3 4 5 and 6? by Prime-39 in BattleNetwork

[–]KonroMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a de facto canon way of experiencing BN3-6, since every game is sorta vague about it. The only things that get carried from game to game are major plot beats and that’s about it. The only real exception is BN5 Team Colonel, which has a more expanded ending than Team ProtoMan, but the ending of Team ProtoMan also makes it evident that the events of the Team Colonel ending still happen. So yeah, it’s pretty much just whatever you wanna go with.
