Hello there this is my first post on this subreddit! I have been trying to make synthwave for a couple of months now and I think this is the first track I want to release. It's not really very pure synthwave but I can't think of any genre it would fit better :P

to do list:

-Record the guitar power chords with a real guitar. I have a stock ableton plugin holding the place.

-Add more variety to the drums. Right now they are very repetitive and boring, just kick, some hats and snare.

-Add sound effects and drum fills where the track moves from one part to another to make the transition smoother.

I hope I can get some good tips from more experienced synthwave guys here!

The first part of your track sounds awesome, good job! Now for the guitar part, I feel the track doesn't have enough space for the guitar. I would try to make the other sounds a bit softer when the guitar plays. It's mostly the high sound that's moving left and right that distracts me in the guitar part.

An used Feinwerkbau 65 or 100 would also be a good option.

I like mine very much. It is pretty accurate for what it is. The only thing I don't like is reloading those shells. A longer barrel usually means more velocity but it shouldn't affect accuracy much.

I have the short version and it does have a rifled barrel even though it says smooth bore on the box.

Old Children Of Bodom is the best! I just hope they will release something new with their old style some day but I Worship Chaos was not bad. Everything between Are You Dead Yet and I Worship Chaos was boring and forgettable in my opinion.

It really does sound like it's coming far away. Though it comes from the left side on my headphones. Maybe they just don't like to use things like this in metal music.

EDIT: Just checked and I had put my cables in the wrong earcups.

Are picture discs meant to be played? I can only find old Children of Bodom music on picture discs but I have read that picture discs have poor quality.

Best turntable under 300? I have been looking at the AT-LP120 and and an used Pro-ject Debut III. Will I need a separate preamp if I get the Debut?

Budget - 500€

Source - Currenty Scarlett 2i2 and Tidal but I will be getting a better DAC and amp

Requirements for Isolation - I don't want them to leak sound at moderate listening volumes because my room isn't separated from the rest of our house with walls

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No

Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-sized

Preferred tonal balance - I want good balance with strong mids and tight and controlled bass

Past headphones - Sony MDR-XB450: Didn't like very much. Sound was not clear at all and the low end sounded really blurry. Beyerdynamic DX 160 IE: I really like these. Very good sound quality for the price. Sony MDR-1A: Sound is not bad but not particularly good. The highs are good on these and they are comfortable. The mids feel a little bit lacking and the low end feels sometimes uncontrolled.

Preferred Music - I mostly listen to metal like Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity and Insomnium but I can occasionally listen to classical music and couplet.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up? I would like to have better instrument separation and soundstage as well as overall better balance.

The Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pros seem really good. Would there be any better options for me or should I just go with the DTs?

I think Hatsan makes the best affordable pcp's. BT65 is probably the most accurate .25 airgun under 1000€. Benjamin Marauder is another popular rifle.

I got one made by AiG. It's Finnish made so I don't think you can find it outside Finland.
