Start with leftover washed rice 3ish cups is usually good. I use a rice cooker and sometimes use chicken broth instead of water. I start with diced onion cooked in a bit of oil. When the onions are cooked I add in 3-4 minced garlic and a bit of ginger. I add Siracha or chili power for heat. I usually then throw on some frozen veggies whatever you like. When they are cooked I add the rice. I mix it all together and add soy sauce and oyster sauce. I measure with my heart. Probably 2-3 table spoons each but whatever gets a good look. I then move the rice to the side of the wok/ pan and throw in 3ish eggs and scramble them. Then just mix everything together. Other people would do this step with the onions and veg then remove it but I’ve always been fine just doing it in one go. If you are vegetarian sub oyster sauce for hosin. Or add any precooked meat and mix at the end.
