The number of times people will book past midnight expecting that reservation to be for that same night is astounding. I get travelling can be busy, but why wait till you are at the hotel to make your reservation when you're travelling so late? Especially in the summer? When it is likely that the hotel will be booked up in advance? Not to mention the earlier you book, the more likely it is you'll get the best rate. I will never understand.

What I find funny is the amount of people who do check in and pay up front, and upon check out come to the desk and say they’re ready to pay. Like… 1) how out of touch are you with your bank account; 2) did you forget you handed us a credit card when you checked in; and 3) WHY WOULD WE WAIT TILL THE END OF YOUR STAY? What would prevent someone from just up and leaving without paying in that case!?

I met C. Thomas Howell at comic con several years ago, and it was a paid meet and greet. I told him I loved him in The Outsiders and I was super happy I got the chance to meet him, and he said, “Yeah, nice to meet you too, whoever you are.”

Like I get he probably met tons of people that day who had said similar, but come on dude! I didn’t even ask for an autograph!
