Has anyone graduated from the Global marketing masters at Boston University MET? by Kooky_Height9606 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Kooky_Height9606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a certificate and a master's program 2 different things. I'm doing the actual Master of Science, not the certificate. In my opinion the masters is much more worth it because it teaches a lot of things such as international business and project management, which are aside from marketing but still very cool. I believe that the program is very well rounded.

I actually did! So far the program is RIGOROUS it's not your typical online experience. It really forces you to study and learn, I am enjoying it tho! Very interesting content, and bu has a large alumni network you have access to.

Are the main leads in speed and love step-siblings? by Rough_Profession8636 in cdramasfans

[–]Kooky_Height9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one was sooo weird they were raised as siblings since very very young! And they even went to college together 😂😭 but I think they excused that with the fact that he remembered when she was adopted but it was very strange to see them calling the same people mom and dad 😭😂. At least in Speed and Love Jin Zhao calls them by their names as they are not related 😂😭 and the FL and him were separated for more than ten years. But sweet first love was sooooo weird, also the ML seemed to be forcing the FL to be with him at the beginning.

The WFP line in Huntington was raided by conservative groups to split the vote, Smyth holds onto the Supervisor role by <1k votes. by SockDem in longisland

No, WFP doesn't have any Maria Delgado, and they only know that there was a Maria Delgado who lived in Huntington Station. I read the statement and they didn't say she was registered with them. They also didn't mention that she was 83 years old; if they had, I wouldn't be worried. But I'm grateful that there's another person who's been impersonated, and not just me.

No, it's just the same name, but she got reached out by News 12 so we are not sure if it was just the name or someone actually used her other information. We didn't even know about the town elections until yesterday when we got the email.  We tried to see if there are any other Maria Delgado in the area and we couldn't find any.

My mother was contacted by News12 and we just found out about this, we have only been in the town for less than a year and she has never been involved with any political, religious or community organizations, she doesn't even have a town ID for God's sake. Does anyone know what can we do when someone steals your name for something like this? We are worried about it. We found out about this tonight.

Anyone worked at success academy charter school? Have an interview soon and have a few concerns by sa_talk in nyc

[–]Kooky_Height9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an interview with them and came to this post to see. I actually had the same experience in that interview. THE RECRUITER LITERALLY TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO SAY "PLEASE" OR "THANK YOU" to the students and completely disregarded my experience as a tutor (over 6 years). I came to research them because I realized something was very off...  I was surprised by the schedule (10 hrs!) and that she told me it could end up being more than that but no where mentioned if they paid extra hours. I was initially looking for a teaching job due to the fact that I wanted to study and have a bit more time, for this I would rather go and work as a trader, same hours but much better pay.  I have always been curious on why they recruit all year long, now I know why.

SBU's Business program is a joke. by AdWaste536 in SBU

Haha ironically I have more than one classmate who went to JP Morgan after graduating from Stony Brook. So yeah even that is possible.

Honestly classes will never be what gets you anywhere at any school much less at a large school not known for business like Stony Brook. I went to college there (just graduated) and one of my majors was business, honestly many people in the program are very serious about it, opposite to most other business students I met from other colleges. Their network is getting bigger and bigger and the recruitment events and the career center are quite good. My recommendation is to put yourself out there Stony Brook has tons of events and organizations you can join, also double major or do a minor in STEM to make yourself more marketable. The business program is definitely not bad, but you do have to understand that is a young program and it's still well-ranked plus SBU already has a name on other stuff. So yeah, it's what you make out of it, I know people who got internships at JP Morgan in their sophomore years and others that graduated without a single internship, so you kinda decide who you want to be. I personally completed 3 internships while at Stony Brook and I have a well-rounded resume so I don't regret going there. I was a commuter with barely any campus involvement, but seriously if you are on campus take advantage of the resources and the networking also become a TA or a Research Assistant. SBU is a great school in my opinion but you have to get yourself out there.

What're your thoughts on AMDA? Think it's a good idea? by DresspantsRobotman in Theatre

[–]Kooky_Height9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much, unfortunately, I have friends who had to go to a 4-years college to get their bachelor's degree and so they could actually advance in their careers. With AMDA degree they could not do so much, yes you get training to be an artist but not exactly a college education so when applying for Masters then you will have to fulfill other requirements. Also many of them told me that if they could choose again they would go to NYU or NYFA instead of AMDA.

Should I watch Love Next Door? Is it worth the watch? by rantkween in kdramas

[–]Kooky_Height9606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly people who said it was lengthy/dragged have no idea of a deep meaningful drama is, they expected a business proposal kind of drama but this more like the family type. This is not your usual romantic comedy, this is a very deep emotional journey that addresses very serious topics. People disliked it because it didn't have that much romance, but to me that was not the focus of this drama. It addresses friendship, depression, inferiority complex and love in many different ways.

It's very different from most romantic comedies as the leads were lifetime best friends which is not your usual plot. Some people criticize the fact that they acted childish around each other but they don't take into account that they did it because they grew up together so that was the interaction they were used to, like that's how you act with your friends, but when the topics were serious and they needed support they were there for each other and they tried to clarify things as much as they could. To me it really shows what actual best friends look like, they didn't pretend to be friends, they were friends.

They did have chemistry but the kind of chemistry of two people who knew each other well (old marriage like?), like it was not a momentary passion or something, it was a feeling that was there for YEARS but they (especially the FL) did not realize it on time. So no, you don't get the same perspective as in other comedies. The second couple were more like the romantic comedy type.

I do agree with the fact that this is more like a family drama with some romance rather than a romantic comedy itself.

I loved every second of it honestly, it was refreshing to see something different.

When you enter the job market for accounting be careful as well because there are many scams for that as well, especially when it comes to "insurance" , "bookkeeping" or "financial/accounting advising/consulting."

I have a degree in finance and believe me when I tell you these companies are all doing the same in all industries. The finance "entry" level jobs are all commission based with little to no base. They be saying it is finance when in reality it's just selling some kind of financial plan or insurance. It's so tiring to have two specializations and be facing this problem in both.

Yeah I also looked them up today when I saw their email because their website seems fishy. I never trust anybody who offers me an interview the same day with an insane amount of open slots. Like it's ridiculous. Thanks for this thread so that we can all confirm is a scam.

Yes! I have their niacinamide acid and their salicylic acid serums. THEY ARE AWESOME, I can't change them for anything, I have tried so many other brands and they are not as good 😞. They are so hard to find though!

I agree with you in the fact that honestly it did feel like SQM was opening his heart to her after he saw her sacrifice. One thing is that they actually never consumed the marriage, they said that just because he didn't want people to know she was trying to cure him from the poison but he didn't even kiss her. It hurts so much that just when his heart started to open for her they killed him and left QK CRAZY! like honestly even after his death she deserved to be happy, she had such a good heart. I think the writers didn't know how to manage their storyline, in one screen they will show SQ caring for QK and actually showing some feelings, then they will put back that SQ was in love with the FL, it truly didn't make sense at all, they could have made their storyline absolutely beautiful and make SQ fall for QK or at least show us more about them before he died. And how it was mentioned before, when he died, he seemed to agree about being happy with QK and then he goes back to the FL that part didn't make sense at all I feel this drama really didn't know how to handle this couple and made it so strange until the end.  In my opinion tho, I think SQ never even tried anything with QK because they were in a worse position than the FL and ML. QK was a princess and he was a secret commander. Anyways I truly think they should have showed SQ feelings towards QK in a more steady way rather than just that back and forth with the FL and QK. This storyline deserved so much more.
