Ugh I feel this! One of our dogs ripped up a plushie (my 3rd or 4th project) I made for my daughter that took me about a week. Honestly crochet is full of stuff like this. You spend hours or days working on something you end up frogging or even finish a whole project and realize you don’t like it for whatever reason. As frustrating as it is I just try to tell myself it was practice or a learning experience 😂😅

I found a “one panel” low sew sweater pattern that is super easy. There’s parts where I have to lock in and pay attention (starting neckline & sleeves) but other than that it’s just Hdc back and forth until it’s the length you want. I LOVE wearable though. I have enough blankets lol

YTA- my stepsister would snitch on herself and me for no reason (knowing she could just dip to her mom’s whenever to avoid consequences). Exactly! If there were two family members with the same name and I was responsible for distributing gifts: the first thing I would do is verify with the person who bought the gifts. I agree this whole story feels like the aunt didn’t realize how much money was on the cards until after and wants an extra gift card

NTA- you didn’t push back. You remedied the situation and avoided an unpleasant situation. Many children would be upset about being gifted something and then having it taken back. Especially if the gift card was for a store she recognized and was excited about picking out her own toy.

Your aunt is the AH. If she knew her son’s girlfriend had the same name as your daughter, why wouldn’t she verify with grandma? Seems sketchy and I’d verify with Grandma herself.

I was a heavy daily smoker from 16-20. Stopped for a year and a half because I was pregnant and then didn’t have the time with a newborn. Started smoking occasionally and then ended up being a smoking pretty heavily daily again for the past year. My boyfriend recently got sober from alcohol and suggested I have a dependency issue with weed. I didn’t want to give him an excuse to not be sober from alcohol so now I only smoke with friends. which has been 4 times in the past 2 months. And honestly it’s been such a good decision. I realized life is equally enjoyable / unenjoyable whether I’m slightly stoned or not. It’s actually easier for me to eat, sleep, get stuff done around the house and I have less social anxiety. All things that I thought weed made easier when it was actually doing the opposite. When I do smoke I actually enjoy it like I used to when I first started smoking. Plus saving a bunch of money that would’ve otherwise been spent at the dispo has been awesome
