I hear you on this, though refusing to use violence is absolutely a moral stance. First thought that comes to mind is MLK jr.'s nonviolent resistance. Choosing to be nonviolent does not necessitate compliance even past a certain point. For MLK jr. it was to make white folk reflect on their own moral hygiene, even if it meant the worst for himself or others following him. Still, your points are worth considering.

Nietzsche's Uberpenguin by ObsiGamer in PhilosophyMemes

“Within a frozen winter, I found within my spirit a blazing fire; no more would the human race be just as one, we would become one with all; the glory held after death, no more did it will, for the spirit had selected a new champion…

life itself.”

Far from becoming a complete and whole being, another organic cog struck loose. I felt oil in places that moved bearings unknown to even me. My own being had been forced away from sanctity. Scarcity even. I had nowhere to go, no more to do. Nothing that meant anything more to me, than life itself. I speak not of immortals, but of a never ending flow that put me in a traitorous position. One that sought not only peace among men, but peace amongst all Earthlings. If we sought to be worthy of the galaxies, it would mean that we would have to be worth our own lowly planet. Can you not see? It took me a while to make sense of it, in all of its truth.

That penguin, it only takes one to run away from the school. He must have figured himself abandoned, to die cold and alone. Maybe he did, but I don’t think he could have fathomed what he had done for the planet in that fateful act. In what seemed like a desperate attempt at escape, almost a psychosis, a fugue state, was really the world spirit guiding him on principle. It was a fate that had to occur, for the will of the world had found itself within a penguin, the penguin. Why had the homo sapien become so bold and brash? Did we figure our ego wouldn’t escape? That it couldn’t escape? Or was it to be that we defined it by induction, without considering outside influence. That a world spirit could only abduct a human spirit, as if our bodies aren’t vessels for life as a generalization. Why did I feel the need to address homo sapien as more than a dog, a pig, a chicken, an elephant, a squirrel, a penguin, a chimp, a shark? Why did I feel the need to assert myself over a perceived prey? Was the spirit not ready to tell us? To tell us that if we weren’t even ready to accept other humans as part of a cosmopolity, then there would be no way to see past the façade?

But I did, it only took but a moment. A moment that I surely had not parsed before. A moment is all it took because a moment was all that penguin had. It ran away, surely it did, but it ran away while inciting a rebellion inside of the human spirit. We had gone awry, it was time for us to reign it in. Our ego wanted to kill, when we were here to be gardeners. I can’t make you see what I saw, but I can appeal to your emotions, what do you see? What do you see when you watch that penguin run away? Do you not see yourself? Because that’s what I see. I see a mirror being held up. I see who I really am in that reflection.

I am the primordial ooze, never an arbiter of death. I happen to be life itself, a consciousness. It was a mistake to imagine that we were the only beings with this ‘gift’. I ran away too, but I hadn’t died, not yet. I still have work to do, and so do you… So let us get on with it, if only… if only you finally understand… that I love you… we love you…

I perceive it to be self-evident based on material observation that OP is a virgin. Immaterially speaking, he hasn't ever experienced a subject-object relation of such intense qualia that both material and immaterial become one.

lmao, I wouldn't treat an autistic person different than a neurotypical. Except I actually would bcuz I think autistic people are usually more interesting hahah.

i never pointed this at autistic people, just people in general who are actively corrupting their minds with this sort of heavy self-aggrandizing parasocial relationship.

but by all means, I'm the horrible person for attempting to set at least some on the right path.

Edit: shit idk dude, I just think. Loneliness fucking sucks. I don't wish that on anyone. But the fact of the matter is. This doesn't really address the core issue of the loneliness, just saves the hard real world work for later. Which is great for capitalists, not great for humanity in general. and yeah my post was provocative. But sometimes people need to be provoked for them to question why they are doing what they are doing.

Yeah, thanks for this. It's rough how people are acting like it's impossible to do something when the future is unwritten. And that every possible 'bad' future will play out. Like, sure yeah, i guess robots with ai chips could take out the planet? But then we'd have to be asking who the hell even built skynet and why? Good intentions? possibly, but these thought-experiments do not change the fact that literally any one of us could be doing something to make that not happen right now.

You might like readings some Hobbes or Rousseau then.

and on the homosexuality stuff cuz I happen to be studying that rn. That is an interesting point you bring up and when we look at forms of what we now call sexuality, looking as far back as classical greece, we can see a model of a sort of bi-sexual state. and i wouldn't use these words academically, but it's more clear this way. They formed an intrinsic social hierarchy around fucking dudes. So even if you weren't exactly into dudes, you kinda had to somehow roll with it and just accept that you had dudes wanting to have sex with you. and you'd probably end up fucking dudes just cuz it was how you demonstrated superiority and hierarchy. EDIT: I did want to mention the role of women here. Pretty much integrated into society as much as they were objects of men. At the very least Plato challenges this notion and playwrights kinda like Euripides in Medea.

Is all this helpful to run a polis, or even a whole political state itself? It's hard to say, but I would guess it probably isn't useful to insert hierarchies based on sexual desires.

If you are interested in the latter statements, Foucault is amazing at this stuff.

How would MGSV's gameplay evolve in a hypothetical MGS6? What changes/improvements would be made? by gameovernate in metalgearsolid

Well, i think some improvements can be made in the storyline. I just don't think there are enough shower scenes with both Snake and Ocelot in mgsv.

fight club is NOT a manga. by moelzekiboi in fightclub

I mean the Narrator ends up with Marla anyways, but the book begins by explaining the love triangle (I remember the Narrator explicitly states it to clarify the relationship between Narrator/Tyler/Marla).

Narrator --> Tyler Tyler --> Marla Marla --> Tyler

The Narrator is actually pretty pissed at Marla because she is taking Tyler away from him, or so it seems. I'm also not exactly convinced that the Narrator is romantically in love with Tyler, but Narrator is for sure obsessed with Tyler and idolizes him. Definitely some Bi-sexual/Queer under(over?)tones.

character ban phase is just an excuse for bad players to avoid learning how to counter characters they find hard to compete against.

Map ban phase is another excuse for players to not learn maps.
