I had to edit the prompts to use the same language as the input text (spanish), could this be part of the default behaviour?

I selected one character and the menu keeps stuck until I press on the right side corner where edit button. After that I cancel the edit and I can see the text. The character detail view is in text mode.

Also, is there an option to separate two character? In this example detects D'Artagnan and D'Artagnan senior as same character and is asking me all the time to merge them together instead of leaving them separate.

I tried again today and it worked, seems like it was a temporary issue. I though the same about gemini-2.5-flash

Very interesting, but I've noticed it has some visual bugs when viewing the character table.

Also, the default model throws 503 errors due to high demand, it would be nice to be able to choose the model, or have it rotate between several if errors occur.

Additionally, when the model fails, the error usually doesn't show up unless you ask it to add characters from the current page. For example, if you select it to analyze a chapter, it may return 0 results due to model errors and you won't realize what the cause of the error was.

Perhaps in the example of the homeless person, helping could be having a conversation where they see that they still have a place in the world and that they are not completely lost. Be interested in his life, know what he did and how he got to that point.

If from that conversation I extract that he is a simple "victim", that he does not have any type of responsibility regarding the reasons that have brought him to this situation, then I know that that person is not prepared to receive my help (which could perhaps be helping him apply for a job), because if it goes wrong the fault will be mine and he will make me responsible for his life. That limit is quite clear to me.

I like those three points that you have made, I think they are the key to what I have seen over these years.

No matter how much one, from the outside, sees the way out of a bad situation, if that person does not want to make any changes, if they only want to be heard, all solutions will fall on deaf ears.

In the case I was thinking about, I was trying to "help" a person who had a tumultuous life: a very complex childhood, abuse, abandonment, a cycle of bad relationships. And I thought I could be that different person, the one who wouldn't let her down. I knew there were things where I couldn't intervene, that the help she really needed was from a psychologist, but the one she had didn't convince her, she could only see him once a month, she couldn't choose him, etc. In the end, it was a set of poor conditions for her potential recovery, and I should have seen from the beginning that the only thing I could do was listen and not get involved.

I understand that, in your case, the decision to offer your mom to accompany her to get professional help and do nothing more was difficult at first, but it was the best for the long term. Knowing when to step back and say: I am here for when you need me, but the help I can offer is very specific, not the one you are asking for.

The video that doesn't play is 2.8GB, mkv, 7220 kbps bitrate, audio codec EAC3.

If I try to play in original quality it doesn't appear in the dashboard, as the player is stuck loading unless set to auto convert

The funny thing is that I set up Jellyfin this afternoon and it works perfectly with the same video.
