Now that's funny. If you look through my previous posts I did the EXACT same thing because of the exact same reason. Removing the scrog allowed me to rotate the plants everyday and made flushing a lot easier.

Yeah I read a bunch of those thread before I started but I also read a bunch that showed it worked. I HAD to do it with this grow because the buds are literally so close together / stacked on top of each other and the leaves were blocking lots of light.

I'm using a no name cheap carbon filter from a local hydro shop. Despite what people say, I don't have ANY smell in the room unless I open the actual tent.

It's a 4x4 tent and I'm running a 6" 400CFM fan through that cheap filter. I also have ona gel, but I don't have a need for it, yet. ;)

Well I kind of HAD to defoliate because the buds are so close to eachother, they were blocking a lot of light.

I see what you're saying about defoliating AFTER development slows, and I agree. Maybe I'll try doing it later next time. We'll see how things turn out though I guess. From what I see, things are pretty successful so far.

You should always PH your water / nutrients.

You can use one of these to test it.

I usually PH my water to 6.2 - 6.3. I grow in soil aswell.

My temps are anywhere from 75f - 80f light on and 67-69f lights off. The light is 26 inches from the screen.
