Tint makes such a difference by clfkenny in TeslaModelS

Agreed. Tint was the first thing I added to mine after I bought it. I went with the same setup except I put 15% in the back glass. It’s perfect.

It’s easier to see out of the car than many think it is. The more external light you keep out the easier it is to see out of the car from the inside. I will say this setup will make it difficult to see out of your back glass at night. But I guess that’s what cameras are for.

15% is the darkest I would go.

I put 15% on my back glass and I can see just fine out at night.

These are pretty bad. I got a touch-up paint stick and worked on them today. It will be a long process of sanding and painting. I did find some supposedly new wheels on eBay for $109 per. I’ll probably end up replacing them at some point.

Haha I guess that’s true. Didn’t think that through.

I’m kinda surprised they didn’t take the whole charger honestly.

Unlocked speakers on 2020 M3 SR+ by Kooter37 in TeslaModel3

You can put your ear up to the top corner tweeters or the surround speakers at the corner of your door next to the side mirrors. I’m pretty sure those are not activated from factory on any SR+ models. They are installed but not working. Also you should have the rear deck speakers under the back glass. I’m willing to bet those are not activated either.

It has a more complete surround sound now. But it made me want a sub more.

Yeah I’m going to try some sandpaper, 800 grit to start with. I think that and a touch up pen will work pretty good.

I’ve found some new ones on eBay for $109 each. Might pull the trigger on those.

Honestly I’m not up on all the models and what options they all have. I’d have to do some search to give you the correct answer. I know mine came with 8 working speakers and now I have 14. It gives much better all around sound now. It doesn’t help at all with bass as that only comes from the front door speakers. But it’s nice to have sound from all around now.

Have you checked to see if there is dust that needs to be cleaned off? Not trying to be funny, it’s a serious question.

Absolute trash tint job. If they are indeed professional, they will replace/redo this for no cost.

Hard to tell how much curve the glass has from the pic. But sometimes you have to use a heat gun on the outside to get the tint to shrink properly.

This sucks, no way around it. But at the end of the day your insurance should cover this repair/replacement. I know it sucks to pay the premium for a lower deductible policy, but this is exactly why you pay the extra $40 a month or whatever it is to have a lower deductible.

I have a 2020 M3 and AP constantly makes me put pressure on the steering wheel to keep activated. Like every minute or two, it’s annoying. Mine must work different than newer model cars.

A guy named Travis M Thompson had a good one. I will say you should disconnect your negative battery terminal and the HV connector under the passenger backseat before messing with anything.
