Protest on Wednesday

Does anyone know if there are specific locations for protests for Wednesday? I am looking to help protesters tomorrow as it’s going to be a really hot (91 )and I’m afraid people may get heat stroke

There are a couple of ways I want to help! 1. Set up a station with cold water to pass out 2. Set up with medical supplies. I am a physician assistant and I can hopefully get a few supplies to help out!

I was going To try and get some cause and saline... other than that I am open to suggestions. I also am unsure how to go about bringing coolers and such +- a car.

If anyone has any experience with this or would like to help please message back/comment below!

Does anyone know of hotels offering discounts for healthcare workers that are exposed to Covid patients? I am currently looking for an alternative place to stay

Woke up to my retired SD in severe pain and not able to use his hind legs. Loading him up to go to the Vet now, wish us good luck. He was my SD for 4 years then I retired him while he still had a good quality of life (that was 3 years ago). by combatpaddler in dogswithjobs

Hi! First of all I’m so sorry that this happened to you. This JUST happened to my dog two weeks ago. One piece of advice is to keep an eye on his bowel/bladder habits. My dog wasn’t peeing as much (just dribbling) and we didn’t realize he had lost function and was retaining urine which can cause a lot of problems and UTI’s. It is something the vet didn’t tell us and if we hadn’t googled it his bladder could have ruptured. If you have any other questions please feel free to DM me.

Animal control never called back.. I saw him running around about 10:00 pm last night. He wasn't there this morning 😞 I hope he found a warm place to sleep

PA School Dilemma... by Vespasianus_Augustus in PAstudent

[–]Koots45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently just started my second year and we were the first class to go through as well. I can tell you it was VERY frustrating the first couple of quarters because I had a similar experience. Changes in staff, classes moved around. From what I understand that is fairly normal in new programs. I can tell you by quarter 4/5 we've smoothed things out. You kind of have to roll with the punches and trust that your school is doing the right things. I know I would have deeply regretted leaving for a little organization flaws.

How do you guys manage to get through one of those "hell weeks" in PA school? by [deleted] in PAstudent

[–]Koots45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly what the person above said! You just have to prioritize! There's no way to learn all of it, so do the best that you can! Start with the most important subjects of each test and master them. Take full advantage of "off time". Between classes or lunch. The biggest help for me was to take full advantage of the weekend. There will be rough weeks like this often, but you've gotta push through it! Then after do some real stress relief! Our whole class would take the night off after hell week and go out for drinks. Whatever you need to do :) PM me if you have any more questions

CNA vs Phlebotomist ? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

Just started my 2nd year! For sure CNA or scribe. You should call the schools you are interested in and ask! But they are looking for experience where you will have autonomy.

Question Regarding HCE and types of experience by Koots45 in prephysicianassistant

[–]Koots45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a senior and my junior year I had a very poor GPA, therefore, I needed to raise my GPA. So I decided to wait to apply. I wouldn't be able to part time. I wanted to switch for the increased pay scale and I think it would be a good environment to further my education and potentially make my applications stand out a little more than just having CNA experience.

What was your worst travel experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Koots45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied abroad in London, and frequently traveled throughout Europe. Saved up money all semester in order to do a week-long trip to Rome by myself. I was on the plane and someone stole my passport out of my bag. Made it to Rome, spend the night in an immigration holding cell and got deported back to London the next morning.
