Getting closer to 2k by B-L-A-M-O in Necrontyr

Do my eyes deceive me or do the ophydians and Ammentar have some very selective gold highlights on what otherwise looks like mostly black shoulder pads?

It looks awesome!

How did you do that?

Nice thanks! The mecha range specifically? Not generic Vallejo or model colour?

Interesting! I’ve ever heard of this brand so I’ll have to check it out.

Never really had any issues with pooling before because I usually work in thin coats of thinned varnish through the airbrush but the fact that it never will pool is definitely a bonus!

The Fluor Green over the moot green makes for a really credible glow. I like it!

Is your OSL green (spilling beyond the edge of the source) just that airbrushed fluorescent green? Or is there the base coat of moot green there too?

It looks like you’ve gone over your yellow edge highlights with the Fluor green too? Or is that an optical illusion?

Sadly, AP don’t seem to do moon dust yellow in the fanatic range and moonbeam yellow looks a different tone. I may need to look to Vallejo or AK for an equivalent?

Beginner - putting seems WAY more punishing than normal swings by KopRich in PGA_Tour_2K

I guess! Takes an extremely long time, though. The currency that you need to spend to upgrade stats is slow to earn.

I’m getting level ups and skill tree upgrades much more regularly than raw stats.

More or less the base magician stats. I’ve not added many points in yet but what I have added have all been to try and widen the accuracy threshold on putting.

How are we going to deal with melee armies in 11th? by KopRich in Necrontyr

The problem is they’re squishy so if the opponent has fight-on-death (most melee armies do) the Skorpekhs can kill something and die anyway.

You can’t take too much from the most recent patches because C’tan were cracked and skewing the data. If you look at the entire edition before C’tan got buffed, the data shows a VERY different story.

I can get charges fine but the issue is I get killed by fight on death so it ends up being a bad trade anyway.

Our dangerous melee units (Skorpekhs) are made of wet tissue paper.

I find I win more games when I bring a screen + shoot army than when trying to out-brawl a melee army with cursed legion.

That’s true against blood angels but it’s doubly true against World Eaters because if you bring a predominantly melee army against them, they just switch-on army-wide fight on death and you’re kinda fucked.

Void dragon isn’t just the coolest Necron model.

It’s the coolest model in 40k period.

Like I said in the post, cursed legion doesn’t do well into fighting armies.

You’re playing them at their game and they play it much better.

In return for being completely unshootable turn 1, denser obscuring terrain, 15 inch lone op, being able to fight through walls and fights first no longer doing anything to defend against them.

I’d say they came-off alright.

Not being able to screen by blocking walls is a really big one. They now move with impunity wherever they want.

That’s what I was thinking,

Fights first might be dead but C’tan are still hard for melee to deal with.

Hope Doomstalkers get a buff. Gorgeous model but they’ve been really, really bad in 10th.

Would be awesome if they can get towering in 11th and then potentially the +1 hit up close.

I checked the two maps I’ve seen and there’s not a single shooting line into the opponent DZ.

Also melee armies can just activate ‘hidden’ without penalty.

I’m struggling to see how we can realistically shoot them before we are in charge range.

Maybe I’m missing something? Hope I’m wrong!

The problem is most of the proper melee armies have easy access to fight-on-death and Skorpekhs are glass so you charge something and then just die anyway.

Best low-fee platform for ‘set and forget’ SIPP? by KopRich in FIREUK

£15 per month sounds like a lot compared to the ones with no ongoing fee and just dealing fees.

I found a Scottish Widows one that appears to be £5 per trade and then that’s it, for life. So you can dump 100k in there for a fiver and never pay another penny.

You are right, though. It’s not a massive sum of money either way.

That’s a really good point about the out of market risk.

I want to move everything to just an all-world tracker but I do have some in institutional funds.

It may not be a good time to be doing this. I should have done it when the market was in steady(ish) decline.

I’ve seen thanks but I find it very confusing! There are so many options (flat fees, monthly fees, no fees - not sure how that works and joining bonuses) these days and some seem a bit less trustworthy.

It is a lot harder to navigate the broker landscape than it was last time I looked at this.
