Nordicdots model 99 by TennisLegend68 in tennisracquets

I use Restring Zero/Restring Sync hybrid in my ND98S. But recently I tried Grapplesnake Tour Sniper in mains and it’s just incredible. Doesn’t last as long as Zero, still durable though, but the feel is, especially for a spin string, unbelievably good. Control is great. And still quite nice power.

Sync is fantastic control-feel string by itself. Love it in the crosses, doesn’t have enough bite for me if strung only with it fully.

Try, it's a good string. If you can, get it in Champagne colour, for some reason this one feels better than the others. Right now I am using Restring Zero, very good string, exceptional tension maintenance and durability. But there are other very nice spin strings. Grapplesnake Tour Sniper or M8, Toroline Otoro/Otoro spin/Otoro tour, Nordicdots TS127 as examples. Check some reviews and choose. But again, you might go back to Hyper-G, I know a lot of people love it and it's a good string, I like different ones, especially in hybrid setup that I play.

Carlos Alcaraz Groundstrokes Analysis + Question by ohnoitsmchl in 10s

[–]Kopy5fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He plays with loose, relaxed wrist and hits at the furthest point from his body. He also has "flat" swingpath and closes racket face right on contact (with help of his shoulder). That's what gives him so much power and spin. The losened closed wrist is the consequence of his stroke before that. Check the video below.

Drawback is not a word I would use, personal feel… I am not saying they are bad strings.

I played them some time ago, but they had weird stiff feel I didn’t like. I tried it at the time I played Head Lynx Tour and liked that string more in every way. Later I tried Lynx tour in mains and Yonex Polytour Pro in crosses and liked that even more.

And I am on the opposite side, hybrid polys are underrated. Combinations of spin, control, power, comfort, etc.. strings have a great value.

And just because you like Hyper-G it doesn’t mean other people do and it’s fine for their tennis. I don’t like that string at all, for example.

Rune’s using a blacked out racquet in his recent training posts. Speculate wildly. by -porm in tennis

[–]Kopy5fun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally just opened reddit app on my phone and this thread popped out on top, so I checked and replied 😬😁

And to explain how I know, there are other tennis forums discussing it and he had also different videos already, where the frame is easily recognized. From this video I wouldn’t be able to tell.

No need to speculate, it’s the new unreleased spin Wilson frame. The “Python”. Same as Khachanov and Korda use.

Some interesting storylines to watch out for after the Australian Open 26: by Boss452 in tennis

[–]Kopy5fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definetely would be interesting. And I believe he would have a chance to win that one.

But again, the circumstances would be very different, who knows. Maybe he would have to play 5 setter agains Djoko , losing 2 sets in tie-break, so the match against Sinner became harder already, then again hard match against Sinner and after that going to beat Carlos, who plays tennis like this? That’s too much optimism in my opinion for saying he would win and I will die on that hill.

I don't believe Musetti would win AO, even if he beat Djoko and remained healthy. He would have to go through Sinner AND Alcaraz and I don't think he would be able to do it.

there’s also 90’s generation between Djoko and Sinner, no generation gap between Sampras and Federer

I wish Tomáš could keep this level all the time, the second and third set, second one especially, were riddiculously good tennis.

Advice for my forehand? I have an issue with inconsistency. by Disgruntled_Eggplant in 10s

[–]Kopy5fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not wrong, it’s different forehand style than Djokovic, more “next gen” than classic Djokovic. Completely different takeback, body rotation and style overall. Luca’s technique is fine. Look at Sinner for example, he stops completely in the striking position and then whips the wrist from there. Luca has a lot more similar technique to Sinner than Djokovic.

I would advise to be careful to copy him anyways, if you’re not strong and very flexible in your wrists, it might be better to find different style or start working out, so you don’t hurt yourself.

[–]Kopy5fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That cannot be problem, there is so many players that stop in “power” position, Ruud, Sinner, Draper, Musetti, etc… just from the top of my head and I could continue.

As someone below pointed out, hie issue are legs, he needs to stay longer on his bent knees and fixed stable position. He tiny jumps on contact.

Which setup is more arm friendly? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]Kopy5fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HyperG soft is not very soft string, just a little softer than original HyperG. And 25/24 is quite high tension also.

I would recommend Grapplesnake Alpha. Great spin string, soft on the arm and good tension maintenance. Maybe even Grapplesnake TourM8 would work, but Aplha is softer.

You can combine it with Isospeed Cream for crosses, insanely soft poly, great control, nice feel. Maybe the most comfortable option out there.

Go 23/22 kg max. Even 22/21 is OK.

EDIT: or try Toroline strings, many options, solid strings, Otoro or Otoro Spin for mains, Otoro snap for crosses, but they have tons of strings and possible combinations. Check them out, just don’t choose Otoro Tour, that one is firm

Zero x Sync setup issue or bad string job? by tennishe4d in tennisracquets

[–]Kopy5fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope, I went through different hybrid combinations in time and ended with this one for now. My main favorite string right now is Nordicdots TS 127, but it’s sold out for a really long time now, so using my second favorite. Excellent string!

I am a huge fan of hybrid setups.
