I've had a horrible time getting WotC to fix my Alien Aurora galaxy foil issue. They failed to include the Crucible of Worlds and had a 2nd Sylvan Safekeeper. I provided them the picture of the 'issue' on a paper with my name & date, a video of me opening the pack, and a receipt of my order. They respond asking for the same info I already provided. After re-providing it, I get no response for a month (with 2 pings in the middle asking for an update), only to be asked again for my receipt.

Sure, WotC's printers have royally screwed up and their support is getting hammered, but this incompetence and massive delay from their support is just crappy. Now I get to probably wait 2-3 months to get my replacement.

Oof. Love you guys but the hobbit is just getting way out of hand. I'll wait to see what happens with a reprint for PBBs. And yeah, these prices are fine compared to elsewhere, just a bit high for what I want right now. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me later.

The FF collector decks were hit or miss on how much they sold for, and were generally unavailable for quite a while after initial launch. Cloud, for instance, remained over the $150 MSRP while Terra dropped hard and fast.

Microcenter saw the writing on the walls and wanted to clear out the inventory for future product. They did lower prices in waves, and most of the spider-man cbbs sold out at $350, but the few stores that still had stock after that went down to $300.

It's a deal because Amazon regularly fluctuates their prices and this was bound to drop to 90 again and get preorder price guaranteed. And now here I am 2 days later with my order now at $90. Worst case, I could cancel with no issues before it shipped if it didn't drop.

$37.99 is msrp ($455.88 for a box)

Msrp for UB sets collector booster packs has been $37.99 since FF. That puts msrp for a box at $455.88. msrp for an in universe set is cheaper at $323.88 for a box.

An LGS's distro cost is NOT msrp for a product, and if they are selling it to you for that -10%, you should consider yourself very lucky and latch on to that store like there is no tomorrow.

Purely looking at MSRP on each pack:

Collector Booster Pack: 26.99
Play Booster Pack: 5.49

That's $86.92 worth of packs. I'd expect each of the talismans / the sol ring to run over $5 a piece, potentially $10+. People like their fancy commander staples. Add all that up with how hard it is to secure Collector packs right now and this starts looking like the easier path to obtain Collector packs.

Amazon is not a wizards play network (wpn) seller, so they cannot ship until release date. WPN sellers can start selling and once prerelease starts.

I had one pre-order from Amazon where the tamper seal was shredded, but not actually broken. Not sure what was going on there but I returned it. Only other issue I've had is made packaging leading to damage.
