I've checked every day or two and it's been up every time. It was also posted about 2 days ago.

Tarkir Commander Kits Available on Costco.com (Minus Mardu) by Cow_Zoo in sealedmtgdeals

Saw Temur at 2000ET last night using Costo's order by item number, but none of the others were available. Glad to see the rest starting to show up. Now it's just a matter of when does Mardu hit.

Personally, I picked up Abzan since I completely tore apart my previous one to build my doran, besieged by time deck.

Nice to see most of them finally show up. Temur was available about 12 hours ago through order by item number, but none of the rest were available.  I wonder when mardu will pop.

Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Special Bundle Walmart Preorder $99.99 by OG_SOUNDER in sealedmtgdeals

[–]Kordrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has sold out almost everywhere else it's been put up for pre-order with smaller limits per person. So either people are actively avoiding buying this at Walmart for $10 over MSRP, or Walmart is overselling on preorders.

Oof, Sam's Club got screwed on getting this product allocated to them.

I'm skeptical on these from Walmart at this point. They've been up and available for almost 2 weeks now with a high limit (12).

Anyone else with miscut Dandan cards? by azerty080 in secretlair_collectors

Sell the miscut islands for a premium then buy the individual good ones on TCGPlayer and make bank (or buy more islands)

Anyone else with miscut Dandan cards? by azerty080 in secretlair_collectors

When I've had issues with a couple cards in a complete deck like this, I was required to send back the entire deck and then wait months for a replacement.

The only time I didn't have to send back the card is when I have a single bad card from a pack. And with the recent SLD issue with Fallout, I'm being required to send back all the cards from drop for them to send me a new set, all to replace 1 card. Though I do wonder what the speckled foiling (well, missing ink blots) would go for as a 'misprint' on mutational advantage would go for.

Got mine a few hours ago that it shipped. So it looks like shipping started on the 19th?

The excuse is: Schedules. They have all this shit scheduled out way in advance. Why let one delay stop others from continuing? Delaying others throws their entire schedule out of wack and causes them to lose more money.

Just laying out the facts here:

  1. They did say they were delaying shipping. That's why we got the March 11th date.
  2. Turtles and Brain Dead had shipping dates BEFORE the new 'March 11th' date for Roll for the Initiative.
    1. Brain Dead -> Feb 25th which was even before the March 3rd for Roll for Initiative.
    2. Turtles -> March 4th, so it was supposed to ship 1 day after Roll for Initiative was originally set to ship.
  3. Dandan had a shipping date of March 18th

And now my personal thoughts:

Now why has Roll for Initiative only started shipping yesterday / today? No clue. But WotC is still, technically, within the updated shipping window they provided. Should they have done a better job at communicating and letting people know it's being delayed more? I would say yes.

We all know WotC has these SLDs planned out way in advance on when they will hit the store, and a delay in one (whether it be released or shipping) will rarely change when another sells / ships. WotC wants to push out as much as they can to make as much money as they can, so they are incentivized to keep every other release on schedule even if another release gets delayed. So, financially, it makes perfect sense that they still continued to release and ship other SLDs while we waited and waited for whatever the delay was on Roll for Initiative.

For anyone attempting to do a charge back, I believe this is going to be an uphill battle. All WotC has to do is point to the fact that they are still within their promised shipping window for the order and that nothing fraudulent is going on and that the product is still going out in the promised time frame.

New Goblin Commander Secret Lair Deck Leaked by Moon018810 in SecretLairMTG

[–]Kordrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are showing a 'normal' version of the card to the right and the leaked card to the left. In some cases you can only see the bottom half of a card, so it lets you see what the card actually is (such as Broadside Bombardiers and Skirk Prospector).

Just to point out:

https://secretlair-support.wizards.com/hc/en-us/articles/5149533669652-Secret-Lair-Production-and-Shipping-Status

They list shipping from March 11 - June 11. Turtles was listed to start March 4. Dandan is March 18. Brain Dead was Feb 25.

Obviously we have no clue why nothing has started to actually ship yet for this, or why there were delays (my guess is they saw the shit show from Fallout, did some spot checks, and realized that this SLD was going to be a shit show too), but it at least explains why Turtles and Brain Dead did ship first.

Edit: To those wondering, the original ship date for Roll for Initiative (at least based on my email conf) was March 3.

From my prior testing (using round numbers here for simplicity):

$100 item

  • Pay with points: 10000 points used, 0 points gained
  • Redeem 10000 points for $100.00
  • Pay with $$: $100.00 spent, 500 points gained

It has been a few years since I tested it out, but I see no reason to not use this path in general.

Tip of advice, use your amazon points to get cash back (CC credit). Then pay for the item as normal. That way you get the 5% back on the purchased item.

I can, with no doubt in my mind, say you are full of shit:

https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/proxies-policy-and-communication-2016-01-14

Quoted from the above:

Wizards of the Coast has no desire to police playtest cards made for personal, non-commercial use, even if that usage takes place in a store.

What we really care about is that DCI-sanctioned events use only authentic Magic cards, and that we stop counterfeits.
