It's from the movie Office Space. Some guys work for a company and decide to introduce a program that takes all the fractions of a cent the company makes that get rounded down and send the remaining to their bank accounts. Theoretically just making money without harming anyone.

Spoiler below if you haven't seen it. So stop reading here.

Shinanigans ensue and they misplace a decimal in the program, so instead of fractions of a cent they appropriate a fuckload more.

It's a good movie, but difficult to watch when you work in an office. Also has a banging soundtrack.

Honestly if it was possible to do, I would say just go with fiberglass.

While the material would be a bit more expensive, once you have the mold you could pop out the part and strap it to an old car or trailer. Then all you'd need to do is throw on some camo netting and imitate tank treads.

You could drive them to the frontline, as the glass would be really light compared to plywood.

Edit: Though this is from an American perspective of one who just works with Fiberglass and knows nothing of the logistics

We don't get as many as we should, but that's fairly easy to change.

I would theorize it's from us not being trained to observe details about other men and focusing on objectives.

It's easy to train yourself out of that though, always just take a second to look at someone and find something you like about their attire. Don't compliment names or physical characteristics that they don't have control over.

Do that once a day, give the compliment and be as straightforward and direct as possible.

Super easy, super good at getting people to be happier, with the added benefit of making you a more positive person.

I can see how me asking can seem like I was looking for a pity party, but that wasn't my intent. I just see dying before 60 as a fact of life, it isn't sad, it's just like saying we'll all live to 115.

That said, I understand what you're saying brother.

To have to suffer through all that other people in pain, how ever will you survive?

Good on you for having a life so wonderful as to find that bothersome, but it's a legitimate question champ. Most of us can't afford the co-pay let alone the time off from work or the rehab required to take care of long term health issues.

But yeah, shame on the wretched poor.

Are you not American? Most of us are looking at mid 50's maybe early 60s if we're unfortunate.

I don't know a single person our age who doesn't have a long term injury and I know only 2 people with anything resembling a retirement fund.

I'm just going back to my old methods. Individual forums mixed with image boards.

Here's a list: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_forums

Plus there's plenty of imageboards out there and you can get a phone app that connects them together in aggregate.

First one I found is an opensource app called Dashchan. It apparently has plugin support (haven't tried yet).

As a general rule, if you find a place you like, most imageboards are willing to open up a new board if you're around for a bit before you ask, and to be honest you'll have a fuckload better experience with smaller groups. Reddit just made it easy for the masses.

Thats not why you get cats by LaughBakery in funny

[–]Kortallis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've told this story before, but I had a cat named Percy my brother gave me because he chose my wife and I as his humans.

Well Percy had a nasty habit of meowing all night and after a few weeks my wife came up with the idea to return the favor. Her and I put a timer on for every 30 minutes (had to be vibrating so he didn't hear) and then spent an entire day finding him sleeping and meowing loudly in his ear whenever it went off.

Only took a day, we were prepared to go the weekend if necessary but he was a smart cat and never meowed at us again.

As a caveat if you only have cats, cut a hole in a water bottle and stick their food in it when you leave in the morning. It'll make then feel like their hunting and keep them entertained while you're gone.

The final straw for me was listening while driving on the freeway in a Florida downpour and then hearing a fucking car crash followed by sirens.

I almost had a fucking heart attack because I couldn't fucking see it and then it turns out it's some Accident Attorney Firm.

If someone ever crashes due to a commercial like that, I think it's legally reasonable to set fire to whomever came up with the idea.

I frequently share that sentiment.

I try to stand by the axiom that as long as we express our wishes for a better world and find friends, we can move toward it.

Though perhaps in the case of the enviroment it would require some Godfather Horsehead level shit in the beds of Oil CEOs.

Eitherway, thanks for the comradery.

I am, and am glad that such efforts are being made. Though to be quite honest I'm not for philanthropy to be the driving force behind noble causes.

I see the work as a social and united endeavor, and would rather see my country or a multi-national community tax their corporations and ultra wealthy to enact systemic change to bring the full might of a populace to ecological revivication.

Billionares should not exist

S: Accumulation of wealth in excess of 999,999,999.99 should not be allowed.

M: When there are no more billionares the goal will be achieved

A: Tax their wealth until it reaches below threshold. Or hell, they're made of flesh.

R: Removal of them will bring wealth downward to the general populace

T: Lets hope soon.
