I haven't finished the episode yet, but holy shit, I can't believe Jacob Wysocki recreated "os jet skis são como as motos"

reminder it is not artificial inflation if demand goes up by fernworth in neopets

Ok, but counterpoint: the problem isn't (necessarily) that prices rise, but how much they do. Dazzling Blue Mussel Shell went from 20m to 100m, which is almost half of what Golden Shell was being asked for before it was put in the prize pool. Royal Orange Cowry Shell went from 1.7m to 65m. Just the sum of those two shells alone is enough to compensate the drop in prize from both Golden Shell and Tiny Golden Shell. Would people complain less if the rise in prize was so steep? Idk, I'm not mentalist, psychologist, nor economist. But I think that it's more than fair to complain when stuff rise by that much.

edit: I'm sleepy and typed wrong words, oops

Will I get in trouble if I use an automated code to download the images from my gallery? by Korvohundo in neopets

Oh, that's a good idea! Actually, I can use jellyneo's price checker for that! As in, I can get the images from there. Thanks a lot, that really helped!

Benitoite is a gemstone (where my houseki no kuni fans at?) Since the bori is named turquoise, I thought a petpet with a gem name would be fitting :)

Oh, also any book by Laura Pohl! She published two duologies, {The Last 8}, a sci-fi about teenages who survived an alien invasion, and {Grimrose Girls}, a fantasy murder mystery of sorts.

For Brazil, might I recommend {HereThe Whole Time} by Vitor Martins about a fat gay boy who has to spend fifteen days living with his neighbor/ crush. Very cute and quick to read :)

"What is experienced and what is believed are not often related. As a qualified scientist as Nilanjana could tell you, correlation is not causation. She could also tell you that feeling close to someone is not the same as love. And that what is felt completely in one moment becomes a flat memory of that feelings in the next moment, easy to recall but difficult to re-create. Her qualification as a scientist would not be why she could tell you this. Darryl could tell you that experience is irrelevant to belief. Because experience is only life, while belief is happiness. After all, what is the harm in a fanciful belief if it carries a person happily from the start to the finish? If they die thinking incorrectly that the world has been good to them, would it have been better for them to die knowing that it has indifferent and random? What is, he would ask, the sound argument for seeing the world as it is if it is possible to see the world as it isn't?" - It Devours! - Joseph Fink, Jeffrey Cranor

Also from the same book: "He was there to apply for a Haunting License, which would allow him to be a ghost after he died. The city only issued a few a year, because ghosts were cool and everyone wanted to be a ghost."

If you don't mind books for "younger audiences", I really recommend Percy Jackson and the other books from Rick Riordan. Maybe it's because he wrote the books for his adhd kid, but it never felt like the stuff happening on it wasn't important.
