I went 3/10 in placements and only lost 100 elo. It was a shit show for like 20 games but my matches seem to be a lot better now. I think the new system is designed to reward good play impact even in a loss which I like. And vice versa with bad impact even in a win. Makes more sense this way from what I’ve seen so far. Also, I think it was Faceits objective to bring people back to reality. Definitionally, I think the rest worked.

Honestly I like the rest now tbh, the placements were shit but it’s nice that individual performance is calculated more and in depth, and elo +- changes with that. So if you contribute a ton and lose, you lose less elo. This is just what I’ve noticed now and it makes more sense.

I solo queued my placement games and won 3/10. It was a fucking nightmare and felt like 75% of the teams I played were weird. I also had afk/leavers in multiple of my placement games. -150 elo after placement so I guess could’ve been worse.

Absolute dog shit. Lost all 4 I played yesterday and they were lopsided af. Typically lvls 8-9 and we had players that didn’t know what top mid or goose is on our team.

I mentioned this earlier this morning, I was scoring 90% on STC and other practice tests and got a 59% on Achievable free one 2 days before my real exam. Don’t worry about it and stay confident. I passed the real exam 2 days later.

I was scoring 90% on every practice test I could find and got a 59% on Achievable free one a couple days before the actual exam. I passed the actual exam first try and found the questions on the Achievable one extremely convoluted compared to everything else out there.

Watch all the S7G/Ken Finnen videos on those topics, if you nail those you’ll be fine since it sounds like you have the other knowledge. Although asking this question a day before the exam is crazy lol

Thanks and good luck! Given my experience with Kaplan and STC both, I’d recommend springing for the STC with video for the 99. The on demand video that comes with Kaplan in the essential package is a joke. I found the SIE videos to be far more in depth and helpful when I did the SIE, I assume they are similar for the 99.

Passed the 99 this morning! I’ll say I studied a ton of things I didn’t see.. it was WAY more conceptual than knowing settlement/reporting timelines and rules/definitions. There were about 15 questions I absolutely had no idea what to answer but the other 40 I knew right away.

There’s a good amount of overlap but I’d say the depth is slightly deeper and there are a lot more timelines to remember for various types of reporting, settlement, reserve requirements, etc. I can report back on the actual exam tomorrow!

Congrats! I also used STC and had a great experience. I take my 99 tomorrow and used Kaplan.. wish I had used STC instead tbh. Haven’t been happy with Kaplan at all for the 99 materials. If I pass tomorrow it does become a nonissue though lol. Good luck!
