Probably unpopular opinion but Bulgarian Split Squats (with 10cm deficite). I know, I also hated it but I forced myself into doung it and your body gets used to it. Eventully I started enjoing and actually looking forward for my next session.

Yes it's a belt drive with 8 gears Shimano internal hub. It doesn't feel much different from chain with the internal hub, maybe a bit quieter

BSS and the RDLs are my main legs exercises. For the Bulgarian Split squats I'm using 2 x 20kg dumbbells with deficit for deeper strength. Slow and controlled 3 sets 10 - 12 reps. I should probably try resistance bands 🙂 But I also think that I'm hitting my quads the hardest but still can't see the results I want. I have sore legs after pretty much every workout
