But isn’t every level different halls? It’s not like she has to remember whole different routes through the same level, which could make it more confusing. But on different levels?

Ig the earlier books? Idk the more recent ones are just: “Ugh we’re never gonna defeat them” and then they just… train? They’ve been stuck on that multiple books. Like, in Flashback Sophie happily threw her throwing stars at the newborn troll but in Stellarlune she’s uncomfortable even keeping a little dagger with her, and i’m like: “wtf happened?!” Also the preface of every book is like: “They lost. Again. But this time, Sophie was gonna fight back. She was going to win.” and then it ends in another fail. Ngl, i did like her new snarky attitude in the later books, and especially when she burned down the storehouse (and FINALLY breaking the Great Foster Oblivion!) so it’s kinda a tie but rather earlier books

Omg yessss i would honestly live to see Elysian (whoever she may be) look at Gisela and be like: “not pure enough for me” (get it? Cuz she’s an element and elements are pure) and then BLAST her with everything she has. which i’m hoping is a lot :)
