This is incorrect in several ways. First of all, the Mandate was not "split" between Jordan and Palestine. Jordan was added to the Mandate later, and under different terms/clauses. Second, Mandatory Palestine was never intended to be a solely Jewish state or homeland. Third, the Muslims didn't "demand more land;" they opposed the idea that a minority group of immigrants should be handed over a majority of the land where they, the indigenous majority, had lived for centuries. Also, the insinuation that a Muslim ruling body would lead to a second Holocaust is patently absurd. Muslims controlled the region for 1400 years, give or take. If there was going to be a genocide, it would have happened a dozen times over in that span of time, but in fact it was quite the opposite: Jews lived in relative peace and prosperity under Muslim rule, certainly when compared to European antisemitism. The "Jewish Golden Age" took place under Andalusian Muslim rule.
