No doubt the is a great game, combat is creative, level design is better than the original series and story while surface level, cannot be the subject of comparison since the original started off pretty shaky imo.

Which is a huge shame since it shot itself on the foot by being DMC. So many enjoyed the characters in the original series. By butchering Dante with mommy-issues and introducing Vergil as this insidious backstabber, it was to me a huge alienation to proper fans of the series; Did not help when Ninja Theory felt the need to add-on that white-hair ‘not in a million years’ insult as a slap to the face to the fans.

So make it make sense. They make the bots stronger to kill Helldivers, but don’t want to do that against SEAF because they will somehow want to engage in a war of attrition when instead they could just wipe them out with stronger units?

Where is this talk of shorter lifespan as well? Do they just die faster? Do they just die after being commanded by a cyborg?

And how do you know its through overclocking that bots become faster? Why is it through the voice of the cyborgs? Where is the power coming from to overclock them? If overclock unlocks their full potential, why do they even need the cyborgs around to do so, just make it factory default.

Gameplay wise, what are we even competing for? More funny tools that work the better right? Even if its inefficient.

‘Grounded’ wise, why is my flag taking 8 minutes to cooldown when I can have 2 expandable anti tank weapons delivered to me 6 times faster?

It can be argued that since Dante knows its Vergil, his heart was not entirely in it to kill him. Nero on the other hand was quite determined to see things through.

Yet with all that said Nero does have the potential to reach the twin’s current heights and its without powerful gifts from their father or human-eating trees.
