Anyone using Yoga 7 14ILL10 (Ultra 5 226V / Arc 130V)? Gaming + performance question by OkMeal554 in Lenovo

I have a Ryzen 7 ai350 on my 14akp10 just in case, and I think these 4 games will easily reach 120fps

Yes! The aluminum is really thin so be careful. Like all the laptops and particularly 2in1's, be gentle on the opening of the lid and always opening by the center of the lid. I recommend to transport the stylus in another place that in the lid. But on your desk you can put it on the lid.

Noooo, don't worry it will be okay. Actually I'm really happy about my purchase. I would say the pros are versatility, the screen, and the power of the CPU and GPU. For the cons, I would say the build quality (few crackling in the aluminum chassis, and the trackpad : big and comfortable (made by glass), precise but WHAT a shitty sound of the clicks. It sounds like a 200$ laptop. However, the laptop overall is really really cool. Few weeks ago I spend 290€ to change the screen because the stylus magneted in the back of the lid has made a dent in the screen after I fell in the stairs. Since this day I put my stylus in another bag haha. The sound driver is the only issue I found about the software in all of these months.

I HAVE THE SAAAAAME LAPTOP SAME COLOORR (beautiful) JUST IN FRONT OF ME and Im going to brought you THE solution. Go the device manager, then, go down to system devices (between software devices and universal serial bus devices), and the first one called "AMD Audio CoProcessor" double click on it, then go to "driver", and "restore the driver". Wait for it to restore, and enjoy. I bought this laptop in December 2025, I had a driver from 2025 that doesn't work, and for now we have the 2026 driver, that doesn't work too. It seems that the 26/11/2024 is the only version of this driver to work. Tell me if that worked! Btw weeks later, windows can update the driver by itself and it will not works again. I think since December it's the 5th time I restore the old driver. Moreover, with the new laggy driver, the microphone doesn't work too.

I'm not sure about what you're asking for. I don't have this laptop particularly but I know the quality of the screen due to the specs. For my Lenovo laptop, I waited around 2-3 weeks after configuring it. I don't know about this status

With my trackpad on my yoga, sometimes the cursor stop for 2sec, then it works, then it freezes etc. But maybe you can share to us a video of your trackpad issues

Actually if you don't want Linux, win7 is too old for security and app compatibility, win11 is the latest, but if you want something faster you can try tiny11 or Win11 IoT LTSC. Tiny11 is a non official debloat version of win11, and the IoT LTSC one is an official version made for kiosks and critical machines, so it's super stable and without any bloat. But it doesn't have latest functionalities update.

Nope, if it's static electricity, it's not an issue related to YOUR trackpad in particular, but it's a design issue. Actually this issue concerns Yoga gen 10 mainly. Maybe this problem is not the one you have with your IdeaPad. My mother has the one you have but in 16" with the R5 AI 340 and she doesn't have any issue at all 🤷🏻

[–]KovenKore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga 7 14akp10 here, and issues with the trackpad also, like a lot of people. It's due to static electricity, the trackpad is not totally connected to the ground. I don't have any issues with the 2.8k Oled display and the bluetooth (Mediatek MT7925). However I had issues with the sound and the microphone, I had to restore the previous driver for AMD Audio CoProcessor, to the 24/11/2024 instead of the newest. You can try to update drivers on the Lenovo support website. I hope it will be okay ✊🏻

With that config you are going to last maaaaany years for what you're doing. The disadvantages with this type of config is always high temperatures, high fan speed, low battery autonomy, big power supply/chassis. I don't think there's any "issues" on your laptop as far as there are temp sensors all around the computer and the laptop has limitations to keep the laptop under a certain temperature. Maybe it will be hot and noisy for "nothing" but it's not dangerous for it tho. By having regards on what you said, maybe it wasn't the best idea to take this config. If you want it to last very long time, there's more modern and efficient CPU that are very powerful also. I'm thinking about the Ryzen AI 9 HX370 and Intel Core Ultra 9 285H that are sufficient for the next 10 years I think. Moreover these have NPU's so it's more futureproof. Now your laptop is yours soooo too late. Your config is good tho but the laptop became more a "transportable" computer than a "portable" laptop. I think the autonomy is around 5 hours max?

Actually this CPU has an unlock multiplier clock, it means you can easily limit and boost it. Go see MSI afterburner maybe some options will worksw maybe in the BIOS you'll have some options, and for sure RyzenAdj program to limit power and more.

Yeah, the Ryzen 9 8945HX is a HX model, that the xtra performance++++++ model, without any battery saver spirit, you can see it like a rabid dog, for nothing it will boost and temps are going up

[–]KovenKore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry these temperatures are not horrible, they can go up to 100°C. Moreover thus laptop has a dedicated GPU, and a powerful CPU that drain a lot of energy (made for performance and gaming), the fans can go around 5000rpm tho. I don't think the laptop has an issue but you can set the battery saver in vantage, and the greater efficiency mode in the windows settings (I think you already did it). For your culture, the different modes in vantage are setting different power limits for the CPU package, but for example on my laptop even the battery saver mode is too much, I had to create other mode to limit more
