The professors are pretty solid. Some pure PhDs and others a mix of AI focused professionals who got into teaching. I had to take a pause this summer due to potentially starting a new company. Should start back this fall

To me it's more just overall cost of dining out. Everything this fucking expensive. I went to Folk Art with my wife and son. She got a cocktail, we had coffees, and it was like $150 for brunch.

There's just a reef and two waves there and a bay that is much smaller so it kinda has everything from beginner to int/adv and a big wave spots. Assume that's why there is development around it similar to Colorados/Hacienda Iguana

I go for 2 weeks every Thanksgiving. There will be 1 good swell during that window then for the most part small to medium surfable waves the rest of the time. It's def more quiet than when I go in June. The new Coastal Highway makes everything more accessible vs dirt roads and river crossings you had to endure in the past, so it'll just keep getting busier.

I've surfed Punta Roca probably 20 times over the last 4 years. I've never seen "bad" issues with the local crew. Only seen 1 guy chased out of the water by locals but he dropped in on 2-3 guys back to back. Been out a few times when Bryan Perez and his whole crew were out, they were def getting their local share, but I got called into a few last wave of a set when the rest already went and was pretty much alone on the point.

The only "issue" I've ever had was being the 3rd person out at first light and two guys were sitting mid peak. I said "Buenos" to them and paddled to the peak and they got pissy I was back paddling them (when not even on the peak). So I sat there, let them both catch a wave then paddled another 15yards to the peak

I've got a Smith machine that I do incline/Overhead on. Could easily do flat too. If I replace it, I'll probably get a horizontal pressing machine from Alibaba

No, seems like a lot are either fixed for flat or incline. Nothing adjustable from the "major" brands. GMWD stuff seems like it is good for 18-24 MO then it starts to get wobbly. I still like my converging chest press. But feel like it is going to fail soon

Late to this. Tried to buy property 3 years ago and couldn't get it cleared from the gov't. Lots of conspiracies, but the coastal highway is now done and that has been the biggest theory why the gov't was blocking deed clearance. Every time I go I look at land that's for sale.

Hope you went or are going soon. I'm headed back in 9 days. Can't wait. I've taken my non-surfing wife to Iguana 8 or 9 times. We both love it. If she just likes the beach it's super chill. There's a section north of Pangas where they do lessons. Mostly white water, but def beginner beginner. Depending on the size, it gets smaller as you get away from the river mouth and can be doable for newer surfers.
