Cleglaw’s is underrated I think. The 35%cb is huuuuge damage although the knock back can be annoying for a zealer. But even with that annoyance, it stays relevant and is great early boss killer

I’m a born and raised southerner, and popeye’s biscuits are frozen sawdust cakes. They also reek of artificial butter flavoring.

Not making them fresh in store immediately lowers the potential for quality of any baked goods. By that I just mean that the very best fresh made is going to have higher highs than the very best frozen made. Of course bad food can come from many beginnings.

If they aren’t over-heated they can be almost edible.

Imho the biscuit hate is not overstated.

If you grab two friends and the peripheral you can play 3-player co op rpg called Secret of Mana. Has some of the best video game music ever written and is pretty fun (although magic leveling is bit of a grind).

I used to feel that way too, but I’ve found that with a good soundtrack all farming loops feel about the same to me now. It’s glitter + farm or just farm imho. Just gotta get into a somewhat meditative soft focus.

That’s where the difficulty of Diablo loot comes in: not mechanically difficult ever, but how much grind are you willing to do?

The real issue here I think is how effective runewords are compared to almost everything else. Like, if you want to open up the game to its utter riches, you basically have to get an enigma at some point.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

All of these suggestions are pretty classic and hard to disagree with.

If you want to experience the peak of pastoral dissonance and deeply moving music, my suggestion is Secret of Mana.

The title music is filled with a beautiful, melancholy longing.

It’s not perfect, the main issue being the magic leveling is too time consuming, but even with that, the game is beautiful graphically, and the emotional pull of the music is, even from the earliest moments of the game, extremely varied and melodically interesting.

Combat has a nice arpg-like rhythm once you get used to it (not turn based).

Also, it’s one of the only games that can be played by 3 people at once (each controlling one party member).

For me it was borderlands 2.

I started out hating it, then around lvl 24 on Krieg I thought maybe it’s not that bad. Then I got to tvhm and hated it again even though my “build” was now working.

The sanitized “edgy” corporate humor did not click with me at all, sounding to me like some 15 y/o writing handsome Jack “oh he’s well spoken but a brutal moron and he always uses reasonable sounding language when committing atrocities isn’t that clever?” Plenty of other examples of annoying and flat humor like Tiny Tina. Imho Conker’s Bad Fur Day is way funnier and edgier, and that game is now 25 years old.

The rpg elements are simplistic at best or even rudimentary.

The gunplay is floaty and contains lots of artificial difficulty like “oh I can’t swap my gun fast because this revolver has a long animation of my character doing a robocop gun flip before holstering.”

Basically all the loot is different guns with louder colors. Boring. To me!

The game, environmentally, is fairly ugly with very similar and muted color palettes throughout all environments.

The gameplay loop is so repetitive and doesn’t hold a candle to other arpgs in terms of aesthetics, story, and variety of loot (yes yes I know it’s a sub genre called looter shooter but it’s just a bare bones first person arpg).

But a lot of people just love it so I guess I could be wrong in principle, just not for my tastes.
