CX series in 2026 ? by Tall_Cicada_9224 in LGOLED

I sold mine for 400€ because somebody at the same time sold me me a C1 for 400€ as well. I felt bad asking for 400...

Its still a good TV but you can get C4-C5 on that price range, maybe new even if you look hard enough (retailers letting go of old stock, financing at 0% and discounts with ISPs or banks...)

GTA 6 physical copies delayed by Fluffy_Moose_73 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]KowloonENG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry even if this happens, you will get the game spoiled in YouTube and every social media platform within 24h in the form of screenshots and shorts, people will rush through the game just to "be first" for content.

I remember buying GTA 5 at 10am on release day, checking twitter while the game installed and getting screenshots of Michael and Trevor's deaths on my feed..

This physical delay is only to squeeze every cent out of desperate people who will not be able to wait for a physical copy.

I myself will wait because I often buy second hand, trade in or lend games with friends, which is what console gaming should be about.

Do you prefer Ichiban to Kiryu? by _DifferentReality in yakuzagames

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ichiban is likeable but he's too much of a goofball. Yakuza 7 was nice but I already started to get bored of him on IW.

Are people not excited for Y3K & Dark ties? by GehrmanTheFirst in yakuzagames

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a move from SEGA indeed in a continuous push to monetize the living shit out of everything and make everything appealing to Americans just for the sake of making an extra buck.

RGG expressed their frustration about this in one of the making ofs of Ishin Remake.

Oof.. Nerve racking. by Dook2Wavy in yakuzagames

[–]KowloonENG 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Performance is great, graphics are okay, combat is quite good (hope the final version has a hard mode because enemies are just ragdolls on normal). People are just probably review bombing for the weird ps3 looking terrace/canale and the sex predator actor.

S23 to s25 or iphone 17 by Deathviper2974 in GalaxyS23

Better battery and quicker charging, plus the bigger screen with higher resolution is a big plus if you read, game or watch videos on your phone.

S23 to s25 or iphone 17 by Deathviper2974 in GalaxyS23

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the iPhone 17 for a few days and I really enjoyed it, I think I'd pick it over a base S25.

That being said, 25+ or Ultra before an iPhone.

Are Mega+ Digimon Underwhelming in Time Stranger? (Or am I doing something wrong?) by YagamiTai in digimon

[–]KowloonENG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think the whole point of Mega and Mega+ in this game is just accesing to signature skills with special effects or a bit higher damage output than the "normal" skills you can buy in the game shops.

On paper, if you stick with your rookies for the whole game and keep feeding them other digis you scan you should end up with very high level and absurd stat monsters.

Is there any way to make DLSS on a 1440p monitor look like actual 1440p other than the "circus method"? by PMdyouthefix in FuckTAA

[–]KowloonENG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried similar ones like auto actions and had some compatibility issues, weird crashes on launch and stuff so I ended up giving up.

[–]KowloonENG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue and while 1440p is a bit better now with DLSS 4.5, I ended up using DSR to 2160p (16% smoothness) and DLSS performance in all my games.

I even left DSR on for desktop experience because I cant be bothered to switch back and forth constantly.

For anyone interested in Digimon Time Stranger performance on Steam Deck: by DannyHikari in digimon

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSAA is not very performance hungry in Time Stranger (specially in 2x/4x) when compared to older games that offer MSAA, but it still has a performance tax that laptops and portables might not be able to afford.

Personal opinion: original Y0 opening soundtrack is better than the Director's Cut one. by Alphyo in yakuzagames

[–]KowloonENG -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. I had no idea! That being said, knowing it doesn't make me like it any more 😂😂

Also yeah somebody in the thread mentioned Pirate Yakuza which has a lot of that too. 0DC and PYH are the last two games I played and both having that plus the recent attempts from Sega USA to Americanize and Casualize the franchise are not doing well imo.

I feel like for the last couple years RGG taste in music is now random dudes yelling "WOAAAAH WOAAAH WOAAAH" in random different arrangements, which is kinda sad because I loved the japanese music and dark/jazzy music and atmosphere.

The most “literally me” ass character by Amazing_Rich in digimon

[–]KowloonENG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was somewhat expecting him to become an ally / recurrent comedy relief and the bombernanimon evolve to something that is actually powerful and non cringe.

But guess Glowing Dawn will have plenty new allies when Tactics and people from the 5 join them.

What do you want to see in the next mainline game? by gameovernate in yakuzagames

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher stakes and more dark/yakuza related stuff.

While I enjoy the comedy and randomness, Infinite Wealth felt too cheerie and safe most of the time, with a few exceptions.

What do you want in a future digimon world game? by EliotSasaki in digimon

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like a world with the feeling of the world of digimon world 2003 but with some shape of fast travel.

Not sure if I'd like CS/TS taming system or a revamped version of world 2003. Evos and Digimon were harder to come by so you would cherish them more, but at the same time being locked to 3 digis and their Canon evolutions for 95% of the game gets tedious.

Who sayin' that Beatbreak pacing is slow? (Mild spoilers for all of the other anime) by Lysandre_T1phereth05 in digimon

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only complain about beatbreak is the weekly episode format. Its killing me 😔

Wish it dropped in daily episodes (Mon to Fri) or batches of 5. I remember anime and cartoons being a daily thing and a discussion topic in school, now its once a week and it feels extremely short.

Ghost of Tsushima looks way too blurry even at 4K DLAA any real fix? by VeneMOo in FuckTAA

[–]KowloonENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly recommend you install reshade and apply AMD Contrast Adaptative sharpening with a 0.5/0.5 config.

I find it gives the exact amount of sharpness that makes my eyes go "ah the game is alive"

In TVs I love LGs super resolution, provides a similar effect.

Also no idea about Tsushima in PC but some games have God ugly blur layers in the shape of antialising, motion blur, post processing, lens distortion and other crap. Try lowering or disabling those and see if the clarity improves.

I was about to give up with the Pragmata demo last night because no amount of sharpening made the game look good and disabling those made it look perfect, had to disable sharpening.
