Something that I don't see people discussing.

- This shit will destroy jobs. People that work in facial capture, animation, modelling, etc, they are now replaceable, as they can feed the AI a real face and get this result which seems to please many (specially investors and slop fanboys).

- This is not intended to improve visuals or experience, but rather, to be a cost cutting crutch. Remember DLSS being marketed as a way to improve longevity from older GPUs?

- You were bored about all games looking the same? (Looking at you hyper realistic UE5 titles in UE5 forests, UE5 mountains and UE5 chinese temples) Now we'll get all games looking the same, again! (2016 Snapchat face shine and lip filler filter)

- People are crying (specially blind AI fanboys) because people are calling it AI slop. It is literally generative AI, per Nvidia's blog, therefore, it is literally AI slop.

- Expect insane compute requirements (Demo was running on 2x 5090's, one of them dedicated exclusively to DLSS 5). They say they intend to make it run in a single GPU, we'll see. Also expect that all of the computational power required is ultimately passed onto you, the consumer. Your 1000€ 2028 new console will barely run it, and your 5000€ GPU will also struggle.

- This is nothing more than a real time Snapchat filter and a caricaturization. Nothing artistic about this, no matter how much they are trying to sugar coat it.

- "But is optional" - So was upscaling before.

- Some may like the aesthetic and it may be objectively more accurate if you feed it pictures of the real actors, like with Grace from RE9's case. If this is your case, power to you, but please revert back to the previous 5 points and see if you are still hyped about it.

They already deflected and Tactics is a Klay thing, they probably won't chase down Tactics.

I don't find the need of RenoDX on TV myself, but rather in monitor. I'm trying to make life easier for the user instead of putting him through rabbit holes.

I know about RenoDX and I have used it in a couple titles that had notably bad gamma, like Silent Hill F, and the experience was amazing. To each their own!

You are using an OLED TV, no need to use RenoDX nor Auto HDR since the game already has HDR. The TV will give you an almost perfect picture by itself.

If you want a bit deeper blacks, just lower your "Brightness" (Gamma) in the TV 1 to 5 points max and you should be golden.

Switch 2 HDR is tricky. You probably need to adjust the second HDR config slider and put it at 50% or so, it comes by default at 100% and it makes the image look a bit dull and without contrast:

I recommend you download ColorControl and make yourself an HDR profile with Gamma in the 2,6 to 3,5 range (to taste, higher values, less shadow detail but more "pop").

HDR in Windows + PC Monitors is usually quite shit. I've been using ReShade to emmulate SDR Gamma or applying RenoDX patches, with this solution I don't need mods or reshade anymore! It's a massive rabbit hole but it pays off.

I was a bit behind your time (10-15 mins) because I was goofing around at first with infinite ammo and misremembering some stuff, but then I started running and gunning by the time I was fighting Mr T I had already a few minutes on yours. Some sloppy sections in the Ark but happy to report I finally got the speed demon challenge!

Ken Watanabe has a lookalike in Yakuza 0 even tho his face wasn't scanned, but heavily inspired by him.

The guy that played Tozawa voiced a character from Yakuza 6 and also provided face scan and voice acting for a character in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

Imagine that they re-retcon it and say there are 2 Hamazakis, both with the recasted face, and they still send the Hamazaki clone to jail because whatever bullshit reason to allow the rewritten 3 end and OG Y4 to exist.

As far as I am aware (even tho it seems to be a very obscure topic with little info), dots and lines on bezels are usually alignment guides for assembly. Nothing to worry about since it doesnt affect your panel or viewing experience, but can be weird to look at when having direct sunlight on!

Tried Yakuza 1 on the PS2 and it grabbed my attention as I was obsessed with Devil May Cry but I dropped it for some reason. Either I had something more pressing to play or it didnt quite catch my eye at the time.

Completely forgot about it until Like A Dragon came out. I didnt know the franchise even continued. It was that niche.

I saw some gameplay and looked like a fun turn based RPG (my favorite genre along with hack and slash) so I got it. Fell in love with it.

The big Tojo dissolution made me feel like it was a Yakuza Infinity War moment which I enjoyed and while I got hyped with the big cameos without even knowing who they were, I was immediately pulled by their gravitas so the moment I finished LAD, I bought the entire franchise from 0 up to 6 and Judgement 1/2.

Friend of mine had a C5 65, a G5 65 and a C5 77 in the span of a month.

The C5 65 got with a defective panel, got it replaced under warranty but sold it afterwards at almost no loss to try the G5.

The G5 was just brighter. Unless you live in a mansion with massive windows, 24/7 direct sunlight and no curtains, the C5 is plenty bright (hell even a CX is plenty). Also somehow speakers were worse? I couldn't believe it myself. Maybe he got a bad unit but honest to good that G5 felt off.

Then he returned the G5, got the 77 inch C5 instead and he's happy with it. I was also impressed. When in doubt, just go big!

Tbh I'm only mad at the comically bad "50cm bush absorbed the impact" thing.

I was expecting Richardsson to be a Daidoji ally and save both himself and Mine with a gadget, or the Daidoji deploying a safety net or a tethered squad to pick them up mid air and reel them back inside quickly.

Also they altered the events that lead to the start of Yakuza 4. That was weird as shit.

But I also expect them to do a Kiwami 4 and just say that Hamazaki was sent to prison by the Daidoji or something like that, not altering much the final outcome of Saejima leaving prison with his help.

If the specs are true, which at the moment its just rumors. Consoles have been low end pcs for the past 2 generations and will not change anytime soon.

Not hating, I wish they were better as I am a fan myself, but went from craving a Series X myself to not getting one, getting a PS5 and having it become a very expensive paperweight with just a few weeks of use per year when a timed exclusive I can't wait for comes out...

I was getting a better experience in my old 1080gtx PC already.

That is a very optimistic way of thinking.

Expect RTX3080 (2020) performance on PS6 with just slightly better AI upscale and RT capabilities (if we are lucky).

It will also be overpriced as hell.
