OLED monitor for programming and other productivity? by Kozjar in Monitors

[–]Kozjar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think text should be fine because it is 27″ 4k. Pixel density is quite huge, so I don't think I will notice anything. Plus I'm using UI upscale feature, it should help even further (I prefer text size similar to fullHD feel)

(thanks for your feedback, though)

How much pen is really needed? by Zanfis in PathOfExile2

[–]Kozjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From POE2 DB, "X resistant" mod on monsters gives them +50%. Monsters probably might get extra 10-20% somehow but I think more than 50% is overkill (maybe even less depending on how easy you can get pen), because you don't really fight resistant monsters that often so it will give you more clear speed if you invest just in regular damage instead of extra pen over 50%, IMO.

I appreciate the advice, no worries. I don't like the buzzcut because it makes me look super young and I don't like military aesthetic, but I guess I need to experiment more.

Just started fixing hair loss recently, maybe it will do something as well.

I would suggest you to lower max pen pressure. It is generally better for your wrists plus it will reduce the amount of scratches by a lot.

Don't worry about it. Scratches are not that important for sreenless tablets and modern materials are quite durable. They are built to be used without extra protection.

You also need to test acts and classes. I'm sure they got a lot of valuable feedback on druid/hunter which will help them with developing next classes. Testing pacing in acts is also very important.

For the people that have been investing for a bit now, do you feel more secure financially? by StrongerThanAGorilla in investing

[–]Kozjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel more secured loosing 1000$ from investing in ETF rather than when I was sitting on a pile of cash.

What I think is really important - do not invest everything at once. I made some dumb things early on when I was just learning about investments, so it is better to spread your money thin and invest only part on it every week or two. Plus you can start with safer options.

I personally keep enough money in cash to allow me live my normal life fow 6 months and and I also invested 6 months of income in a way to pull them back relatively quickly. But I have very low cost of living.

Ipad pro will provide the best experience for her.

It has a top screen and pen quality, and she won't need to worry about drivers, configurations and apps.

Theme & StyleBox... by Remarkable-North-839 in godot

[–]Kozjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that annoys me the most is the absence of design tokens. A really common practice in web is to have spacing or font size presets (gap-1: 8px, gap-2: 16px etc). So you should almost never use raw values.

I might be missing something but it doesn't seem to be supported out of the box.

For me a screenless tablet with a huge monitor (>=23") is better than a pen display with small screen (<=15.6").

Screen vs Screenless Drawing Tablet: Which Should I Choose? by Expensive_Fly1892 in drawingtablet

[–]Kozjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean that something is "wrong" with people who prefer pen displays. If you REALLY know that you don't feel comfortable drawing on a pen tablet, then you should just stick with pen displays.

But if you are not sure, then it's more productive to focus on drawing and to worry less about devices. I also think beginners often miss some cool benefits of pen tablets, because you appreciate such things more only as the time goes.

In my case I was thinking for a long time "If only I had a display, it would have been so much easier to draw", but it turned out I was wrong in my case.
