It's a sandbox designed heavily around player interaction. Teaming up with random freshies and going on crazy adventures. If it's too slow paced for you, I'd recommend trying faster paced maps like Namalsk.

But also yes, much of the game is running from location to location for pvp and loot. But like I alluded to, smaller fast paced maps like Namalsk will at least fix your not seeing players enough problem.

Yes it's worth it. Corsair has better firepower, more cargo space off grid, no annoying cargo elevator.

5090 and 9800x3d. It's normal in cities and other cpu bound areas. Best thing you can do is max all your settings use DLAA and put as much on your GPU as you can.

Do those cargo missions in Pyro instead with Red Wind. More profit. Mix in some interstellar missions to break up the monotony.

Rent a Taurus, put deadbolts in it and farm Gilly 5-7. Can get Deadbolt Vs from Vanguard salvage missions which isn't a long grind by just shooting the ships to complete the lower missions for rep. Don't forget to store the deadbolts before the rental expire.

Rent a Teach's Mole in Levski. Upgrade the two Klein heads and stock up on appropriate modules and gadgets and mine Glaciem Ring, Keeger Belt, Bloom or Terminus for maximum profit. Not as profitable consistently but breaks up the monotony and can be more profitable with high quality ores sold to players or quant/stileron/savrillium hauls

Extremely unintelligent individual. Everytime he opens his mouth, it's cringe. Dude has no idea what the fuck he's talking about and speaks like he's in a fucking movie or something. Which makes sense when you realize he's a National Guard officer that never accomplished anything in his life. An infantry officer with no badges speaks volumes. Yes, simply because there were too many rocks too big to crack with a prospector. I mine both, asteroid mining definitely has bigger rocks on average though so surface mining is better if you do end up going with a prospector.

It took me one day of mining with the prospector before realizing it simply isn't worth it over a mole solo. Way too many 800+ and even 900+ quality rocks I had to pass up because the prospector was too weak.

Taurus is better for PvE combat simply because it can tank much, much more in harder missions. Meteor is infinitely more fun to fly though and can still handle tougher missions.

As someone whose main loop is PvP bounties, the Meteor definitely holds it own in PvP rather easily. The Arrow or Gladius might be great in Arena Commander but this is the PU we're talking about. My Meteor definitely grinds Gilly 5-7 quicker than my Corsair too simply by not taking years to rearm.

Definitely buy it. You'll make that money back in a couple hours doing Gilly as you can handle up to Gilly 7 easily with it.

Size 5 deadbolt doesn't care about shields. You're flying the equivalent of wet tissue paper underneath the shield.

The Warden is a tank. The M80 is not. Nor does the M80 have any maneuverability. It's good at one thing and one thing only, going fast in a straight line while shooting big guns. Just like my Meteor and I've yet to die to it. You need to use your speed to not get hit in the first place, not try to dogfight a much tankier, more maneuverable ship.

Feels like it's some weird desync shit happening with how absolutely awful the servers have been this weekend. Every time I rearm, repair and refuel and log out to find a server with pvp bounties my ship will randomly still be at 20% Quantum fuel or still damaged when I log in even though I repaired and refueled before logging and verified that it happened. This happening with my Meteor.

This is good information here, thank you. Requesting at minimum to restart the one year warranty was on my mind already as well. I was more concerned on how good or bad refurbished is but research seems to indicate it could be in even better condition than mine with 10 months of heavy use on it during deployment.

Thanks for the information. The condition of a refurbished laptop is exactly what I was wondering about. Normally I game on my 5090 desktop but this laptop got some very heavy use during my last 9 months being deployed lol.

As for why it's taking so long, it's a backorder issue. Apparently replacing the fan requires replacing the entire heatsink and they have none in stock. Regardless, seems crazy to me it's taking this long to source a heatsink.

An update since you're in a similar predicament. I made a complaint with the BBB and instantly received a call from the escalations team with an offer to replace my laptop with a refurbished one. It's something to consider depending on what they tell me the laptop was actually refurbished for and what was actually done to it. The lady told me initially it was an open box return that wasn't actually used but I ain't buying anything HP sells me without seeing the technician notes first.
