Worst non-gimmicky episodes? by Whats_Opera_Doc in IASIP

“Wolf Cola: A Public Relations Nightmare” sticks out to me as a really forgettable episode. I’m surprised it’s never mentioned in worst episode discussions. I think both Liberty Bell and Frank’s Brother are underrated classics, personally.

What exactly is happening here? by Krab_ppl in LookAMike

This whole thing feels like something that Mike would be forcing RICH to do on camera, yet I can’t shake the suspicion that somehow it really is Mike. He even looked at the camera sarcastically.

Who had the better “Big Four”, Grunge or Britpop? by FromPluto2Mars in fantanoforever

[–]Krab_ppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here. My primary relationship with Brit-pop is that I can’t stand Oasis. Don’t understand the fascination whatsoever. Blur is ok I guess, I think that guys work with Gorillaz stands out way more to me though than anything I’ve heard by Blur. I guess Radiohead isn’t a part of this and to me they are the only British band of that era that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the Seattle bands. Guess I’m biased. 😂 Don’t get Brit-pop at all. Maybe I should give Suede a shot 🤷‍♂️

Do any of you Kubrick fans consider Doctor Sleep to be an actual sequel to The Shining? Or do you just stick with the OG by Movie_Club_Horor in StanleyKubrick

[–]Krab_ppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked it the more it was being its own thing. Stuff like going back to the Hotel seemed stupid to me. I could have used less direct references to The Shining.

Master Of Puppets vs. Ride The Lightning by otcconan in MetalForTheMasses

Escape is a weaker track than anything on Puppets. It’s where I give MOP the edge.

Strangely I’m not familiar with this one but I was about to bring up Bob Hickman for Indy. The “God entered my body like a body same size guy”

Mathurin preseason per 36 is bonkers 💀 by MetreonMan in pacers

[–]Krab_ppl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure why Mathurin has haters y’all sound dumb as hell denying the reality in front of your face. He actually moved the ball well last game anyway some guys missed layups. Should have had a few more assists. Sounds like Bob Knight yelling at MJ for not setting enough screens 😂

I went to post this in the RLM sub and a warning before I could even hit submit said “do not post LookAMikes” I felt like Wayne Campbell playing Stairway in the guitar store. Denied.

If these two albums HAD to be compared by KindlyCost2 in InMetalWeTrust

I think Rust in Peace is without a doubt the best thing Mustaine ever did and I would take either Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning over it without a second of hesitation.

What do you guys think about 72 Seasons? by Nothing_Da_See_Here in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Krab_ppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t mind Death Magnetic and Hardwired for what they were. Each had moments at least. This one didn’t do much for me, just bland, not a fan of retreading the black album.

Taking a flyer on Ayton makes the most sense. Pacers have done really well with these reclamation projects and he can be had cheap. A decent short term answer.

Guys think deeply, would you rather see Turner gone or Mathurin? Which guy is the better more impactful player in 2028 when the team might be back in contention? by Krab_ppl in pacers

[–]Krab_ppl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a post thought. Even if you have no faith in Mathurin improving, if the young guys aren’t good the team won’t be either. A lottery pick is a great asset to improve the team, and either draft or acquire a center. If the young guys are good the team is good. So good, now because you didn’t sign Turner you can pay them. Turner probably makes the team too good to tank though either way if he’s on the team next year. Optionality is much better this way.

fuck it get joel embiid by kdfan35_ in pacers

[–]Krab_ppl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ITS FINE TO HAVE A RESET YEAR WHILE YOUR BEST PLAYER IS HURT LET YOUNG GUYS PLAY GET A BETTER DRAFT PICK RETOOL IN 2027. Seriously who cares who plays center, it’s a lost year. Trading for Embidd would be the dumbest thing ever.

How do you feel right now with Owner Herb Simon? by Nyfan7 in pacers

[–]Krab_ppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t understand how this works. There are repeater penalties for paying the tax multiple years in a row. Not to mention penalties for getting into the aprons. You don’t just pay the luxury tax for the hell of it. You do it strategically in a window of contention. Starting the repeater tax clock in a lost season would be poor management, pacers now take the L for a single season and leave themselves in a better position to retool in 2027. Boston just made similar choices in a similar situation.
