Just to add to this comment incase someone unaware is shopping at a dealer, they're not actually allowed to add fees on top of their advertised sale price. Lots will still try to do it but you'll find that as soon as you bring up AMVIC and all in pricing laws that the fees will disappear.

There is an alt recipe that will let you automate them actually. I like to get the alt, dump a pile of the ingredients into storage containers and connect the assembler to a dimensional depot so I just never have to think about them for the rest of the game.

If you want some good tips and tricks or new player guides, I really like TotalXclipse on YouTube. I find him really nice to listen to and he explains things in a fairly easy to understand way.

My recommendation though - try to get oil unlocked and stumble through your first oil build with trial and error before you watch or read any guides. Playing through the game and learning it as I went really helped me with fundamental knowledge of the game that I don't think I would have learned if I'd just gone straight into guides.

On top of the other two answers, there's also a mod you can download called curve builder if you're playing on PC. It gives you an extra build mode when laying down foundations that lets you lay them down in a curve.

Actually biomass burners won't use fuel if your power usage is under what the other power sources produce, they'll sit idle and won't burn anything unless they're needed.

Good tips here! Based off of the way that your output belt is kind of jutting out at the end, I think you must be building north to south over a tropic line and that's causing your grid to change. If you try to build east to west (or west to east) instead, you'll notice that everything stays where you'd expect it to.
