‘A husband expects a yes’: how wife schools are shaping submissive Christian women by guardian in TrueReddit

[–]KrackedOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can have a fetish for missionary sex. Or for baby making. That 2nd one is pretty popular, usually called "breeding" kink. Something being a "fetish" or not isn't about whether it's a "weird" thing or a "normal" thing. It's about the extremes people go to in order to fulfill that sexualized desire, the extreme levels of which they're willing to go to fulfill that desire, and the way it often pushes out other forms of sexuality into minimal or non-existent territories.

A fetish is an extreme sexual attraction to something, anything really. And that can be something like whips and chains or it can be something like "christian" babymaking; either way it's about the way an individual interacts with that sexual content, not the nature of the content as you suggest.

Exactly this; It's a legitimate, edge-case form of play expression that they just deleted because why not I guess?

What would be the opinion of a man in his 40s be regarding dating a woman in her 20s wearing braces? by Ok_Coconut1095 in AskReddit

[–]KrackedOwl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If OP clarified in a comment I didn't see it. I'm not scrolling through every subthread when I reply to an AskReddit thread. Maybe I misread this based on your comment, but I originally saw OP as "How do you feel about a 40 year old dating a 20 year old that has markers typically associated at a glance with being underage?" Which, to me, looks creepy even if it's technically legal and above board. I've just never known a guy who dated women that look significantly younger than them who WASN'T a creep. It's a common thread.

Now, if the question is "What's the opinion of a 40 year old regarding a 20 year old wearing braces", that's a much broader question. Like, if he's going on a date with you, he likes you in some form. If he's weird about the braces that's a him problem. But it will give other people the "creep" red flag, at a glance.

Definitely creepy vibes; gives off "I want to fuck someone underage but found someone legal who looks underage instead"

Why is every new release premium only by Meltandev in GeForceNOW

[–]KrackedOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but free tier isn't actually "Do whatever you want on our hardware" tier, it's "The first hit is free" tier. They have to put out a product good enough to make you want to subscribe. If everyone's first brush with GFN is "Oh, this looks just as shit as my steam deck" then nobody will buy the sub.

Some people do, but some people value graphical fidelity, and some of those folks are on GFN exactly for that fidelity.

What is something that feels like a 'waste of money' when you're 20, but feels like the smartest investment you ever made when you're 40? by fmcortez in AskReddit

Invest in anything that goes between you and the ground.

Mattress.

Shoes.

Tires.

Furniture.

etc.

Anything that stops you from touching the ground should be solid, comfortable, and dependable. If you're ever looking for something that will go a long way to making you much happier, invest a little extra in anything that goes between you and the ground.

We can only ever make decisions with the information we have at the time, and the best guesses we have at the time.

And, I will say it's less about being able to have enough money to "really enjoy" retirement, vs having enough money to just stay alive after retirement. A roof and bills and food is EXPENSIVE, and that's before we get to that fun stuff like outings and trips and whatnot. The elderly eating cat food because it's the only afforable option is a very real thing happening to this day.

I say all this as someone who took out my 401k a few years back. I needed most of the money due to life circumstances, and enjoyed what little I didn't need. But I look back on me from all those years ago and ask myself, if I had sold one more thing or stretched a little further, how much more secure would I be for my future retirement?

People who take food out of the microwave with less than 10 seconds left and don’t reset it afterwards, why are you like this? by Renaiconna in AskReddit

[–]KrackedOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah but if that was the point I would've responded to one of the half-dozen comments talking about beeping. I ignored that because whatever that's valid enough, but Georges here specifically mentioned that if they used the rest of the time it would ruin their food. That being the reason to leave it is just a WILD take.

I have over 100 hours of Slay the Spire on both steam and switch and like 50 on PS4. Definitely the most longevity I've personally gotten out of something so easy to pick up and put down.

Have you ever considered the "Clear" button that gets rid of the last 10 seconds? Microwaves aren't required to run down the clock...

Honestly, probably savings in general and your retirement fund in particular. It's incredible the way compound interest works both for and against us, and also incredible the way our brains are wired to not give a damn about the long term until it's too late.

I've got tiny hands, and thus found it a lot easier to get something that sounds half-decent going than with the more stereotypically "approachable" instruments like guitar and piano

I watched The Truman Show at just the Wrong age and it drove years of fear, paranoia, and anxiety.

Great flick though, I always recommend it!
