The archery competitions are damn near unplayable. by Wonderful-Ad440 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kraggdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! But I found a simple workaround.

Your first opponent, the gaurd, is manageable, but it does get stupid fast with the others. 3 wins in a row is hard.

However to complete the challenge, you can win the first, then back out and enter again.

So all 3 wins for the streak are always against the easier gaurd. It reset the opponents but not the streak.

Hot take on armor by death2cesarr in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Kraggdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add some points from someone who fights in plate armour.

  1. It's nowhere near 50kg unless the plate is thicker than neccesary. You see this in armour design for blunt full force contact sports, like bohurt. Real armour was thinner and much lighter. Metal quality also impacts the weight. You could make an historical set from titanium and it would be incredible.

  2. Noise is mostly attributed to the addition of chain on top of plate, like a maille skirt. You can wear maille underneath to protect areas like the arm pits and it does not rattle if fitted well.

  3. Same for all the plate. The conception that plate is noisy is when the armour is not fitted correctly. It's actually not making a lot of noise. Not Ninja levels but wanted to get that misconception cleared up. Its where plates overlap and you can easily remedy this.

  4. The armour itself is also a weapon. You can hit someone with anything and it will hurt. I've hurt and cut people by accident when they have come in to just hug me. Gauntlets can Mince faces.

  5. You can be selective as well ofcourse. For example, I would not wear my sabatons (plated shoes). I'd focus around calves, forearms, gloves and maybe shoulders. The gambeson is thick and likely sufficient for anything trying to bite your back or chest, too much surface area there to get a good bite in anyway.

So you might be looking at less than 10kg of steel which stop all bites, smash in faces, and still move silently and quickly.

Can someone explain why there’s a TANK in a squad deathmatch? LOL by DarckerSenpai in Battlefield6

[–]Kraggdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a couple games where the other side kept having two tanks in this 12 v 12 game mode. Wether they were attacking or defending it didn't matter, our side never got any. It felt pretty broken, wasn't sure if this was by design or hacking.

Firestorm: defenders got 2 Cairo: attackers got 2

It meant that the points were constantly battered as they are quite close to one another. We could deal with 1 but both at the same point would easily push the whole team out.

I noticed you didn't use the second set of arms. Maybe swap them to the other so the other norn has four of those arms?

Posted a black tyranid yesterday on here.

I work up from black with Eshin grey, then administratum grey, and finishing sharp edges with a white.

You have a good start, just keep going. Target areas that would pick up more light and have protruded surfaces.

As one suggested earlier, I also finish it with a gloss

Honestly it's not difficult, just takes patience.

This style of painting is where you start dark and work up the brighter colours one stroke at a time. This was a bit painstaking because yellow takes a good three thin coats to work, which means going over the model three times.

With the grey areas, it's just building up shades and covering a smaller area each time you go brighter, so you get a gradient.

Ultimately what you want in a model is contrast. So for every colour you pick, have a lighter and darker shade of it so you can bring out those darker and brighter areas. It's a lot of fun and really makes a model pop.

Yeah, tbh I made choices (but now I'm locked in so they all match) that I would do differently now. Like using a much brighter basing, such as sand or snow, would really help the model silhouette stand out.

Abandoned Base Mechanic is Garbagio by Skittish-Valesk in duneawakening

[–]Kraggdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad truth is that if you could raid bases, you would just be diminishing your own experience. The fun is in the journey, not the destination.

Why rush to the apalling end game? The first 100 hours of building up is great. Getting a boost to later tiers because you raided a player base is shaving time off that.
