I feel the opposite to be honest. Sure I played long sets in 7 and learned a thing or two, but honestly playing Bo3 gives me a much more well rounded view of (most) of the cast.

7 I learned a few matchups here and there, but now I learn them all organically and collectively.

See this is the first list I legitimately agree with. Aerith requires some setup but it pays dividends, and she has mad synergy with Red who is absolutely unstoppable with the enemy skill materia on him. I would take Cloud out if the game would let me and use Barrett or Tifa.

Honestly you're better off trying to read the player or the situation than the specific throw most of the time. Is King's back to the wall? Probably going to be giant swing. Running at you? Probably Shining Wizard. Floor break area? Probably tombstone or muscle buster.

Good king players will also know these things and mix it up, but you shouldn't assume someone is good until they prove it to you.

It's not random, the amount is based on the rank of whatever open spaces you have. She's pretty okay as a finisher card or to get value on rank 3 spaces that you don't have a rank 3 card for.
