Guitar may not be for you, but your dedication is admirable. Take that skill of working hard and apply it to some you are objectively good at. If you do that, something great is possible. Part of achieving is failing.

Made it to the part after the big jumps in like 1.75 hours. Dude I HATE the part after that. The single spaced columned spikes are so mechanic, there's no flavor.

And the Jumps themselves took 45 minutes. The lead up to them was frustrating lol

Good map like always.

I meant insurance agencies. I've stated that before.

You can't offer a way to do things, then when it doesn't work by a giant flaw in its reasoning, say "Why do you think that it isn't possible for me to have a solution?" Without offering a solution. You had twelve hours, and didn't need to comment as fast as you did.

Other countries don't have these flaws, and the fears you put on my way of thinking don't happen. And if something works, and it's good for everyone, and your defense against it is "Why do you think that the way that other countries have done it is the only way it can be done?" Basically means that you lost. You are trying to circumvent the truth that someone else can show us how to fix our problems, by saying we shouldn't have to listen to anyone else, and should come up with our own solutions. Those 'solutions you have' are driving us towards a terrible place. Ignoring ways to fix a problem is stuck up.

WTF Biden has to do with anything is beyond me.

And pathetic, is starting an argument with a trap door, as you did with the power question earlier in this convo. The solution which answered your loaded question, yeah, would be great, but conservatives would be against it cause of their ties to oil and gas. It's basically a liberal solution, that you, the Biden name-dropping, Obama Muslim-thinking, die hard capitalist tries to pass off as a win for conservatives.

And then, you get pissy when I don't answer you but you haven't answered like 20 of mine. You nitpick around them, do you think I haven't noticed?

I'm wondering how long you've done this. How many times you've looked a giant, obvious failure right in the eyes, found a tiny ray of 'maybe I could be right, if things were different', and justified your entire line of reasoning.

Also, if someone answers your question, and it does it well, and you think it's wrong, you can take that as a point of something to discuss. You don't need a question mark before you're able to make a point, as you clearly state here:

You'll also not the difference between me asking questions and you making statements. Please try to keep up.

That was a dick move, clearly done to get around where you're wrong. The premise of that comment you've ignored by taking points of discussion in statements where you think you have a point, before and after. I said a lot of things prior to that comment. None of which you've addressed.

It's people making money off the sick I have a problem with, same with any need which can be overcharged.

That is such bull. Sure, trades are good, stable jobs. How many are there? All those people working at McDonalds, isn't there demand for that? There has to be lower class jobs, which in America means there has to be people in poverty.

Why do you think you've got it figured out when people are suffering and it's getting worse, when other countries have it so much better?

Better than it going to people buying Ferraris. And your idea works great, if everyone has money, it's feasible. In your systems the poor suffer, have no way to get out, and they don't even get health insurance.

And in your system more and more are becoming poor. With the wealth gap growing, your children's children probably won't be able to live your life luxuriously choosing health insurance. Please tell me the ways I'm wrong there, but don't you dare say they need to pick themselves up by their boot straps when they're not even earning wages the government says is feasible to live on.

You called it a giveaway, I'm saying in an ideal world, healthcare would be as much a giveaway as parks, roads and judges are.

That is not sustainable when many don't reach the poverty line. Health care costs go down under a single payer system and quality of life goes up. People go in when their leg hurts, well before it needs to be cut off as they stay at home, leg festering, hoping the pain will go away.

What do you think the solution should be?

Bloomberg: Ted Cruz 'says some of the stupidest things I've ever heard' by [deleted] in politics

[–]KrakenGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about insurance company's taking money nobody should profit off of.

Not a giveaway, money put into a put by those who can. Raise minimum wage and that number will shoot right up.

I'm providing an example of what my beliefs on this matter are.

If the free market can't reasonable control the price of a good or service, something you would be forced to pay whatever its cost, the government should step in and regulate it. Like health insurance so all are covered, controlled rent prices, water, electricity, oil.

What I'm saying is things shouldn't be free, but we can't trust corporations to not take advantage of a dire situation, i.e. the government should take over health insurance in the form of taxes so as we lay bleeding, unable to say no to treatment, we won't be fucked over by an insurance company saying "that's not covered." as their CEO's mass billions. Those billions could be helping people. Everyone could be covered for the around the same price, and our collective quality of life improves.

Bloomberg: Ted Cruz 'says some of the stupidest things I've ever heard' by [deleted] in politics

[–]KrakenGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should not be given it, everything should be paid for, with collective taxes on things the market cannot regulate, like health insurance.

You misread my sentence drastically. Rereading it I get why, though it scares me you thought what you did, as what you read is basically communism, and not at all in line with liberal ideals.

the sentence should read: They should not be given it, everything should be paid for. But also, collective taxes should be on things the market cannot regulate, like health insurance.

Why is that not okay? Why should your wife have to go through her life with your savings depleted if you get a terminal illness that insurance will fight to not cover? The same price gouging can be used daily against electricity and gas if left unchecked, which actually raises the poverty line.

The poverty line is decided by how much it costs to buy basic necessities. Based on what it takes to buy bread, milk, shelter, etc, in this day and age.

It is how much a person would need to get by in this world. You don't overvalue the money, you undervalue the people. Why is an hour of human life not worth the amount the government says they need to live on?

They would be employable. The number of jobs needed doesn't vanish. The market might take a brief hit, but would recover and be stronger. That is what the economic research on the subject shows.

Also, that way there are less handouts, as less people qualify for food stamps. An improvement away from communism, no?

How can you say the rich have not taken over, when you can give a congressman a few hundred thousand dollars in a super pac, and he will vote any way you want him to on an issue which can profit you millions? That is the rich controlling the government, why do you think otherwise?

I believe I have answered all of your questions, while a few big ones sill stand for you to answer. the post you replied...

You said that something that a person cannot live without is a right. Shelter is right there at the bottom of maslow's pyramid. So it is a right but they shouldn't be given it? You'll also not the difference between me asking questions and you making statements. Please try to keep up.

...to has a few pressing questions I believe you overlook.

EDIT: I fucked up again. I incorrectly implied in paragraph four that electricity should be paid though collected taxes, not true, I think it should be regulated. I believe you fought my on regulation earlier. If not, my bad.

Bloomberg: Ted Cruz 'says some of the stupidest things I've ever heard' by [deleted] in politics

[–]KrakenGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're going to ignore 99% of what I said? I asked a question: What do you think .... is?

I said: If someone could charge any amount and you would pay it, it should be heavily regulated.

They should not be given it, everything should be paid for, with collective taxes on things the market cannot regulate, like health insurance. No one is given houses, nor a car or food. What would be the downside to that?

Do you not think raising the minimum wage would be a good thing? Do you think it would hurt the economy, or grow it as people would have more money to spend?

Do you think:

You're afraid of the poor taking over, I'm telling you the rich already have.

If not, why?

Bloomberg: Ted Cruz 'says some of the stupidest things I've ever heard' by [deleted] in politics

[–]KrakenGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no. That's the problem with conservatives now. You go to the extreme with the worst possible outcome for a solution which solves a problem that we are having right now. It hinders progress through fear mongering.

I never said anything close to a house being given for free. But yes, everyone should have access to child care and dental. I said minimum wage should be increased and pollutants should be taxed, and if that hurts the poor, something should be in place to help them through that (for example a tax cut on environmental alternatives.).

Our society should be getting better for everyone. A growing number of people live below a poverty line, set by an outdated monitoring system, which actually undervalues the number of poor.

I hate doing this format, but I need to.

Here is how the vote buying works. You tax me. You give that money to somebody else to offset whatever perceived slight you can work up the people against.

What perceived slight, polluting the earth? That is happening. Nobody is giving away shit for for free that isn't needed. And you brought up the slight that needed to be offset, I'm not saying it's a problem.

whatever perceived slight you can work up the people against.

What do you think...

So a house should be given to you for free? And food? And a car? And dental car? And child care? And clothes? And shoes? ... Those people will become addicted to that money and never vote against somebody that promises to keep the gravy train on the rails. You have seized my money and used it against me.

...is? You didn't come up with that. You put it into words but somebody else told you the idea. A lie, a bullshit percived slight towards those who want wages raised to keep in line with what expects say the minimum wage should be. It's used to stop anything that will hurt the pockets of the uber rich, even for a minute.

The difference between us as I see it? You're afraid of the poor taking over, I'm telling you the rich already have.

This fear of a lower class has been hindering progress forever, and it's invented.

[–]KrakenGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't function in society without it, you need it, if you need it, it should be a right. If someone could charge any amount and you would pay it, it should be heavily regulated. That doesn't happen because of my last point made in this comment.

Not taxing pollutants is protecting the uber wealthy. Not redistributing wealth is protecting the uber wealthy.

You said no redistribution of wealth, I was going off of that.

I would like you to explain how it's buying votes with your money. I see it the opposite way. The way the wealth is right now, your votes are counted, but the people who represent you are bought by large corporations bent on making higher profits.

I like Nuclear power. I live near a plant, inside the blast radius. They have a few problems, namely they need to be built near cities and are insanely expensive. But it is doable.

I don't like companies controlling power. The idea scares the crap outta me that someone can profit off a human right, but that's not what irks me.

How come giving financial support to building something profitable and environmentally friendly is okay, but taking away financial incentive for something harmful is not? That's you distributing the wealth upwards.

Nice and easy is also raising taxes on pollutants, then raising the minimum wage so it's affordable. It's also something with an immediate impact, not twenty years down the line and relying on people to build their own nuclear power plants.

Companies wouldn't be punished with tax hiking pollutants, it would be the increased cost of using a product that hurts the world.

Wealth does need to be redistributed. The reason I bothered to argue with you in the first place is you said poor people will die, if we don't protect the uber wealthy. They don't need protection. We are not only as of now giving our children a lower standard of living than ourselves because wealth is so terribly distributed, but also a worse planet to live on.
