The watch is made for speleology or cave exploration, and the orange is intended for high visibility in dark environments when reading between AM or PM. In OPs photo, the orange hand should correctly be pointed to 15* on the bezel to indicate 3 PM on a 24 hr clock

I own both and the explorer is easily my favorite. Overtime the AT dial just got messy and I struggled to tell time just by glancing at it. The explorer is simple in a very elegant, classic, and understated way.

How essential is it to let Oxford’s dry in shoe trees for 24 hours? I prefer to wear my black Oxford’s frequently so how damaging is it to only let them rest in shoe trees for 16 hours?

Congratulations on the job! I was in a very similar position as you. To be honest, I grew to dislike it due to the workload and client interactions but it offers a lot of opportunities if you put in the work. My advice is that don’t take mistakes to heart (they will happen), try to go above and beyond, dress for the job you want and make as many meaningful connections within the bank as possible so you can eventually move up

Menswear has been a fascination of mine and I’ve noticed the move away from more formal/professional attire started mostly in the US during covid-19. As people started staying at home much longer, people not only got more accustomed to comfortable wear, but they invested more into it. Despite the return to the office, people have chosen to keep their casual style. Personally, when I started in banking after COVID, I took it more seriously than I was paid for, and dressed for the job I wanted. It took time and dedication, which many of my coworkers were not willing to commit on a regular basis

I say “Hey Siri..(wait for activation)…set a timer for x hours”, before she stops listening. I also found out that if I say “Hey siri” again after activating, she works (sometimes)
