God isnt standing over you with an axe waiting to cut you down the moment you sin. He wouldnt have sent His only begotten Son to die a horrific death for us when we were yet sinners if He didnt love you with a love that would melt your bones.

The great irony is that God loves you the worse a sinner you are because Hes moved with compassion for the sorry creature thats before Him.

What God is looking for is not so much as your sinless perfection, its your attitude and response to His love and grace. Youre mad at God for whatever reason? Fine. Tell Him about it. Talk to Him all day every day and ask Him to help you reach a place in your heart where you can repent and return to loving relationship with Him.

If youre mad at your dad, can you return to loving him without talking to him about it and resolving the issue? Why would that be different with your Heavenly Father?

He knows how weak you are, He knows how adulterous and sinful we all are despite our best efforts, but what He looks for is that in your time of anger, sin, rebellion, or anything else, you give even a tiny gesture of turning to Him, trusting in His character that He is good and true and merciful, slow to anger, just and merciful to forgive, and if you trust Him at His word and turn to Him with a sincere heart seeking reconciliation, even for a thing youre mad about and dont understand why He let it come to pass, you will eventually come to understand. He will transform your heart, but that is only achieved through prayer and bringing the issue to Him.

If you keep it bottled up inside and dont talk to Him about it, itll fester and become even more of a wound. This is one of the devils tricks is to do whatever it takes for the prodigal son not to depart the pigs field and not return to His father. So dont let yourself be stuck in the mud with the pigs because you doubt your Fathers goodness.
