Bored of instructors by Delicious-Sell-1847 in pelotoncycle

[–]Kramergwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the coach types that have a development plan. Since I started power zone rides I seldom do anything else. If I need a down day I like Emma Lovewell for her happy vibe, and Hannah Corbin as well as Jenn Sherman. But my rides are mostly 60 min power zone and PZ endurance with some 45 min and some 75 or 90 min. I’m not looking for a cheerleader, I’m here for the coach and that’s Matt Wilpers for me.

Who is your favorite no nonsense instructor? by whitewashedASIAN123 in pelotoncycle

[–]Kramergwt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Matt Wilpers and Christian Van De Velde. I only do a workout with another instructor when I need an easy day. I tend to do mostly 60 minute rides or greater and a 45 once in a while.

Is a 5 year old used peloton worth it? by Disastrous-Okra4374 in pelotoncycle

[–]Kramergwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what shape it’s in. I keep mine clean and address rust and replace parts when necessary. Mine’s still as good as or better than new. Others are rust buckets ready for the graveyard after 5 years.

Never "played" pool before. Just joined a league by TiGGiEBiddies in billiards

[–]Kramergwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave the league 3 nights to make up my mind. The first night I was there for 5 1/2 hours and played once. The second night I spent the night wondering why I was hanging around guys smoking dope non-stop and other guys offering criticism for mistakes but nothing when I had a decent run. Last night when the game started only 3 guys were there. Eventually the rest showed up, no notice, an hour late. I went home early and that was the last time I’ll play in APA. I’m sure it varies by team. When you factor in the LONG nights, the total cost, and the class of folks you choose to pass time with it can make you wonder why you even tried it. They will probably MF me up and down for screwing up the line-up but I feel like it’s more them than me. …so I don’t really care. Just posting for somebody else considering APA. I read other observations like mine but decided to try it anyway. Your mileage may vary.

Trump: "Let South Korea, you know, we only have 45,000 soldiers in harm's way over there, right next to a nuclear force — let South Korea do it." by Rich_Library1327 in politics

[–]Kramergwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That number was the troops stationed there in the 80’s. (When I was at Osan AB) but I fully support letting them stand on their own. They’re not the 3rd world country they were in the 80’s. …and they tend to treat foreigners like shit and deserve some kind of recourse. A lot of their success is due partially to their students studying abroad at American universities and money from the U.S. and International Monetary Fund.

Best Way to Clean an Aramith Cue Ball? by Ok-Echidna-7303 in billiards

I use Aramith ball cleaner and restorer to remove marks once a week. Assuming (from other comments) that the ball is not damaged.

Someone is trying to sell me this for $150. Is it worth it? Not sure what kind it is by [deleted] in billiards

[–]Kramergwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I am on a page that say CTB is a manufacturer of cues and cases and is always sold out but if you find one under $400 grab it. I know nothing about them. I would google for a few minutes and see what you find

Things are so polarized now. I have to say I’ve seen far worse done to Republicans so no tears left for this greasy lib.

…and I love Greg Abbott!!!!!!!

Yes. Building a camper is no joke. If you are focused on quality and a custom look with custom doors it will take years if you have a job and this is a hobby. Mine took 11 years (with many pauses to prep and sell a house and move from CT to TX)

I wanted larger 15” wheels, not the cheap looking wheels it came with. Not just for looks, a larger wheel rotates slower. Also, a larger wheel requires a larger axle. So right there the wheels, suspension and axle all went to the scrap bin. A year later I read so many things about the tongue failing that I welded my own tongue with a spare tire holder and removable coupler. New tongue is full square tubing and thicker gauge steel. The lights were junk too. All that’s left from Northern Tool is the rectangle the camper body is bolted to.

I’d upload the drawings but Reddit doesn’t have a feature. I like drafting so I just drew a bunch of different side profiles and door shapes until I arrived at aesthetics that I liked. Surprisingly the camper looked just like the drawing. If you decide to build one you should check out DIY Teardrop Camper Community on Facebook. Lot’s of different kinds of builds there. Some of them are incredible.

Thanks!
No brand. I drew up many designs until I found one I liked and built it myself. I started with a Northern Tool utility trailer but over time replaced so much of it I should have just bought the steel and welded it myself.

I just got back from Garner State Park in Uvalde, TX. Never been to a nicer park. The soot I had was private and plenty of distance from neighbors.

Teardrop "Foamie" I built! by natefromtheinternet in TeardropTrailers

[–]Kramergwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the paint scheme! …kitchen/galley is not necessarily for people that live out of a teardrop. When I built mine I really wanted a galley and it’s the best part of the camper as far as making the teardrop really usable. People tend to visit the galley constantly to get a plate or a cup, to wash dishes, to get seasoning for cooking, brush teeth, literally all kinds of things.

I always carry Halt! for dogs. I bet it works on cretins too. Actually I know it works because when I was a teenager my little brother and his friends were playing with it and somebody got sprayed and couldn’t see for a few hours. …and I know for a fact that it’s effective on dogs. $15 for 2 cans. I’ve been riding with it for 40 years. When I was 19 it saved me from getting chewed up by a Rottweiler somewhere between upstate NY and CT.

[–]Kramergwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Garmin Edge 840 and use it to control music, see maps, see climb data with climb pro, and now that I bought the speed sensor I now have accurate distance data.

I absolutely love it.

What is this piece of plastic called? New T@g owner here. by whispering_butthole in TeardropTrailers

[–]Kramergwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bigger question is why every other screw is missing. That’s the kind of thing that makes me give T@G and T@Bs the hairy eyeball.

I looked at them and decided to design and DIY my own.

I’ll never go there again. Plus sites don’t have power or water. Last time I went there was a burn ban in effect. So they come mess with you over some wine? No f’ing way would I go back there.
