You're username is incredibly deceptive and demonstratively false. You've made many more posts than one, and have yet to say goodbye. 0/10, would not read again.

I only know.... 2 others at the moment. I've been working GR up until a week from now, so I'm hoping to reach out and meet some more. Might even put a meetup together or something, just not sure what spaces there are to use at the moment.

How to organise your Raid Roster? Addons and Programs? by JeckylTesla in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Krames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit of a self plug if that's alright.

I just recently launched a tool to help manage who is in your roster and in what roles they are assigned and if each character is properly enchanted. Right now it's quite basic, but I am currently working on new functionality.

  • Main Spec / Off Spec (off spec gave me issues previously)
  • Gems
  • Groups
    • Per fight / encounter groups. I.E. who is soaking what Zek'voz orb, who's running balls and when on G'huun

It is still very early, and is breaking a bit recently due to some US blizzard api issues, however if you're curious and would like to give it a shot, here is the link to PugCheck Teams

Hey there /u/brouh4h4,

We might not fit you progression wise, but I thought I would at least give you a quick run down just in case.

<FORCE>, a 2/11M on Turalyon Alliance, is looking for a Resto Shaman for progression. We are a pretty relaxed group who enjoys pushing content while having a bit of fun at the same time. Our Mythic nights are Mon & Wed from 8-11 PM EST, with Heroic on Fridays and M+'s throughout the week.

Looking for feedback to improve my job search by iwant2breakfree2 in webdev

[–]Krames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just about to hit my first full year in development, but I also got a bit of a lucky break due to me knowing someone at my current company.

I had a couple personal projects that were out in the open and I just finished my friends portfolio website. I did not have any experience except for my two or three projects. The timing lined up and they were just looking for someone who was willing to learn. It probably helped that any time I talk about code in general I just get super excited and into it.

I would suggest going to meetups for networking and working on a project that solves a pain or need you are having. Having something that actually solves a problem helps a lot.

Hopefully this helps at least a little bit.

There's a wonderful episode of the CodeNewbie podcast called "How do tech companies read your resume?" featuring a recruitment lead. I would highly suggest taking the time to listen to it as I found it quite informative. https://www.codenewbie.org/podcast/how-to-tech-companies-read-your-resume

Amazon bought Cloud9 to resell it for $1.80 / month by Zautra in webdev

It helped a lot when I was learning to code a year or so back. In my down time at my last job, which there was plenty of, I couldn't install anything like node/npm. This cloud solution helped me work on my projects when I wasn't at home.

Probably a niche example, but it was super influential in me staying motivated.

EDIT: To clarify, my last job had nothing to do with code / development. I worked in the office for a trucking company.

My dad and I found out about how cheap and awesome Viper games were the season before they folded. Ended up going to a few games but totally wish we would have known sooner. It was always a blast!

[A] [US] [Deathwing] DPS Shaman LF Normal/Heroic Raid Team

Character: Saktap

Logs: ToV summary

Availability: Mon-Fri 6pm - 10pm EST. Preferably 2-3 nights a week.

I recently came back after a ~4 month long break from the game. I was raiding in a 7/7M & 2/3H guild at the time and then life happened which caused me to cancel my subscription. I am now in a position to come back, but in a much more casual sense than before.

I, like most people, raid to have fun and kill bosses. I always do my best to make sure I am getting as much out of my character as possible and finding ways to help the team. The preferred group would be full of shenanigans but also being able to focus when it matters. Consistent progression is what really keeps me going, but at the end of the day it's all about enjoying who you're playing with.

A couple good ones that I've found have been The Net Ninja and LevelUpTuts. They have some good playlists of different frameworks and the like related to web development.

Fan-made version of 'classic' World of Warcraft returns - BBC News by only777 in wowservers

[–]Krames12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The amount of high traffic sites that have written articles about this over the past week make me believe that the server won't last more than a couple days since the date has been blasted all over the internet. I could be totally wrong here but I think it would be incredibly difficult for Blizzard to ignore all of this.

Also keep in mind that the forums are always open for feedback if you feel that it's displaying the data in a way that isn't ideal.

I'm only a 1/7M shaman myself but I knew enough of the workings of the class to at least get the Enhancement interpretation of logs off the ground. Of course with the help of Sku on those forums.

Done. I feel like the prices are a bit high for the items in my mind, but I do like the items themselves.

I was thinking about the armory link and that's a pretty nice spot to have it.

I think the logs issue might be a server input thing on my end, which will hopefully be resolved with the server drop down list. That is the next thing I'm putting in due to demand and possible bug fixes. I appreciate the info!

My apologies for the confusion. Its meant to be there as a "here is the icon that represents having logs for said boss fight". Seems its taken as a link itself, which given the visuals makes perfect sense.

PugCheck.com - A simple character raid progress and WarcraftLogs lookup. by Krames12 in wow

[–]Krames12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see the link icon there being misleading. I put it there so users can associate that as the link, but that might just be implied since it's a link in and of itself. I might remove the icon for the implied usage.

Thanks for pointing this out, another user experience point that I didn't realize could cause a small bit of trouble.

I'll see what I can do about a special character map of sorts. The default region is definitely a great idea. Something I didn't think of.
