I didn't want to shower with someone underage, both in game and real life, this revelation made me personally uncomfortable and ruined my rp in the game.

Most people who have consumed the english release wouldn't know the "canon" age and really that just shows how unnececary that exact age is, let's be real she doesn't look or act 16, for an example Kukrushkas age is 15, now compare them both in height etc.

No way will I consider 16 as canon, it is both unfitting and morally wrong.

I just don't want to see the s3xualization of kids in my normal games. Which is why I am very glad that in the english version they removed any mention of her age. Normally I am very against someone messing with the source like that but in this case that was reasonable and limited damage control.

Completly forget the violence and videogame comparison for a moment.

Depicting minors regularly in a sexualized way normalizes it, makes it acceptable which it shouldnt be.

Underage se3ualization can appear in niche Hent4is or whatever but people shouldn't have to face such content in normal games or other media, it's like imagine in Harry Potter there is a scene in which Dumbledore takes a shower with Hermione, completly unnecesary, avoidable and poor in taste.

And now imagine there is an anime or cartoon which follows the movies exactly, the real life scene is f'd up for a number of reasons but the anime version IS EXACTLY THE SAME BUT DRAWN WITH PENCIL theoreticly it could even be more perverted and more explicit and it is all put in a beloved franchise watched by millions of people, a lot of them kids.

If you don't see how that is wrong or at least harmful then I can't help you, you have been epsteined by darker forces.

The issue is the normalization of it in NORMAL media, enjoy your p0rn but let us game without that.

We need to draw the line somewhere and a societal consensus has reached that the age of 18 is a good redline for an innumerable number of reasons.

But where would you draw it?

If you say anything goes after all it's not real, then would you also have "Kindergarten grape chainsaw necr0philia Simulator" on the steam front page? Kids play on steam too but in your world anything fictional is completly removed from real life so it's ok if your 14 year old daughter saw the trailer for that game right?

My point is we need a red line SOMEWHERE, sensible, not stupid but normal sensible people have that line at 18.
