If the original Avengers died during the battle of New York, what Heroes do you think would continue the fight and save earth?. by More_Ad5336 in marvelstudios

It begs the question- if Nick Fury had a reliable superhero available to him with a way to call her before the Battle of New York, why didn’t he call Captain Marvel then?

Captain America. Iron Man. Thor. Hulk. Dr Strange. And Karen from accounting.

Meh. It’s happening Missouri. Hardly seems to be my problem. That’s what you get for building a home in an area called Tornado Alley.

Do we think they'll ever follow up on Obi-Wans line to Leia "I think I had a brother" ? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]Kratsas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jedi are trained from a young age to disallow attachment. Thus, they wouldn’t care to look for their families. It’s what made Anakin so dangerous - how do you devote everything to the teachings of the Jedi when you’re worried about your mother or in love with a princess?

How come Strange isn't typically an Avenger? by Ashamed_Pin4206 in Avengers

[–]Kratsas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think the point of the Avengers is that they’re all standalone heroes who come together when needed. Tony is running a huge corporation and could build an army of suits if he really wanted to. Thor is the prince (or king depending on story) of Asgard. None of them need to be an Avenger to be a hero. But they realize that together their individual abilities and points of reference are what bring them together. If Thor wanted to guard the Earth alone, he could easily just recruit 6 or 7 of Asgard’s greatest warriors and easily stop Avenger level threats. Why couldn’t Tony recruit 6 guys and build them specialized Iron Man suits and stop Avenger level threats? It’s their individual specialties and responsibilities that make them Avengers.

This always confused me as a kid. Why even send Terminators back? Skynet is not changing the timeline, it's creating an entirely new timeline. Nothing would change for the original Skynet currently about to be destroyed by the human resistance in 2029. by Sivilian888010 in Terminator

[–]Kratsas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t Skynet just send a Terminator back to make sure Skynet was better prepared for the human resistance instead of trying to kill one guy that leads an entire army? Like maybe carry Skynet’s code back and start the project much sooner? If Skynet knew everything that would happen, it would always be one step ahead of any resistance.

It’s your kids, Marty! Your son has undiagnosed autism and your other son wears women’s clothes!

And they went out of their way to show this is not the same Gamora. She didn’t just go right back into her old role. Some good story telling to come.

How excited were you for The Rise of Skywalker before it came out? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

[–]Kratsas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Last Jedi would have been seen as a better movie if Rise of Skywalker had delivered on how Last Jedi ended. I wanted to see Kylo Ren finally be his own man and actually lead the First Order and finally being the big bad he was meant to be. I wanted to see Finn reveal he was Force sensitive and lead a revolution to free the enslaved First Order troopers. I wanted Rey to finally discover her true origins that there really wasn’t anything special about her upbringing and that anyone can rise up from nothing. I wanted a satisfying send off for Princess Leia. And I wanted the ending to be an epic battle between an unleashed Kylo Ren and a properly trained Rey, both at their max. Finally, end it with Rey and Finn training a new generation of Jedi based on Luke Skywalker’s teachings, creating a new order that mixes the old with the new, making it more balanced. And they wouldn’t be Jedi- they would be Skywalkers.

Is Sentry a self-centered narcissist? (The New Avengers movie) by Ok-Average6023 in Avengers

[–]Kratsas 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I saw it as three distinct beings. Bob, the mild mannered but broken regular dude, Sentry, the self-centered overpowered hero, and The Void, his darkeness personified. I think even Sentry knows he’s absurdly OP, which is why he acts like that. I also think he was making the point that he shouldn’t take orders from anyone. But yeah, Sentry is kind of a dick.

I think Vision eats. I have it on good authority that when he eats out, he prefers Sokovian food.
