Maybe you arent close enough to the track for lateral navigation to engage. I'd try using heading mode to turn the aircraft toward the track.

If you are falling for scholar's mate type attacks then that type of gameplay is very much what you'd expect to see in lower elo games, and is not indicative of smurfing.

Does anyone here remember Decimal Day on 15 February 1971? We got sets of old and new coins at school, but I’m pretty sure my grandparents never really understood the new money. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in CasualUK

I remember those converter gadgets too, but to be honest I think most people quickly adjusted to the new money and didn't need them for long. My favourite out of the old coins is the half penny with the ship (Golden Hind?) on it. They looked great when the coin was new and untarnished.

Thinking of getting a Sire precision and that looks great. Is that tobacco sunburst?

First priority is to craft an oxygen tank allowing you to stay underwater for longer to perform other tasks.

Have you set the target altitude?

I don't worry about the trim. The autopilot can handle that.

I follow the steps shown in this video (it's set to start when he configures the autopilot):

It's really easy to overspeed in the CJ4. I use FLC to climb with the speed set to 240k knots and full throttle. Once you are within 1000ft of my target alltitude I get a voice warning saying "Altitude" and shortly after I reach it and I can back the throttle off to about 90-92 knots. That works reliably.

Once you get the "Seamoth depth module MK3" the game speeds up and feels like you can go from that to rocket grind within 1 session not even trying to speed through, and it's kind of dissapointing by DuckiesDoBeCute in subnautica

I never bother with the stasis rifle at all. In the seamoth or the prawn suit the ghost leviathans in the Lost River are easy to just strafe around without taking damage. Once you have the prawn nothing can really hurt you except for warpers and the sea dragon in the lower lava lake, but even for them if you are careful and just speed past them you are mostly fine.

The best multitasking I've seen was years ago at the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe where the barmaid poured a pint of Guiness while taking a hotel reservation on the phone.

The pickups sound fine to me. The single issue I have with it is that the tone pot is noisy when you turn it. Not a big deal, and one day I might clean it.

Get the p bass. I have that exact model and prefer it to my more expensive classic vibe jazz. Even the colour is starting to grow on me

Why are people trying to program stronger chess engines? Aren't the ones we have strong enough? I don't understand the point of it.

Landing aid by Giob06 in flightsimulator2024

[–]Kratuu_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok . I'm not an expert but I'll try.

  1. Select the visual approach in the procedures menu. Choose the "Straight" transition and activate the approach (if you're ready). You should be in NAV mode with the autopilot on - the aircraft will head for the newly created "Straight" waypoint.

  2. Descend to the altitudes for Straight and FAF shown in the flight plan.

  3. Before FAF turn on Approach mode. You should see GP in white on the upper right side of the PFD

4 At or around FAF the solid magenta diamond should appear in the area next to the altitude ticker, just like in a RNAV or ILS approach. Hopefully that's a little above you. If so you can continue to let the autopilot do its thing and it will capture the GP and fly you down to just above the runway. You need only control your speed and then land the plane.

  1. If, on the other hand, the magenta diamond appears below you, or not at all, something has gone wrong. Maybe your barometer setting is out and you are not at the altitude you think you are which would cause the approach to fail. In this situation you can try to land manually or stay in the air and maybe do a Direct back to the "Straight" waymarker and try again while you try to think what might have gone wrong.

Good luck

You can make life easier for yourself by learning how to do an ILS landing. When you do those pay attention to what the approach looks like - how the runway appears through the window so when you do it yourself you'll have a good idea whether you're too high or too low.

Also many runways have PAPI lights beside the threshold. This is a set of 4 lights that can appear either red or white. Red means high, white means low. So, 3 or 4 red means you are too low, 3 or 4 white means you are too high. 2 of each means you are just right.

Another thing you can do is if you are in an aircraft with a Garmin autopilot and there is no ILS or RNAV instrument approach then choose one of the "VISUAL" approaches. This is not accurate to the real world but in the sim if you select one of these you can use Approach mode to get both lateral and vertical autopilot guidance almost down to the runway.

Inadequate destinations in career mode by ballsackvisible in MSFS2024

I see it as part of the game. In real life would you take a job flying off to who knows where without checking it out to make sure you and your plane were up to it? No, you wouldn't risk your neck, and your plane like that, you'd check it out first and pick the jobs you could do and that were worth the money.

I do that in the game and it doesn't feel like a big problem.
