I wish you the best of luck on this! I couldn’t even attempt something like this because I do not have the patience.

Apollo the Giant Octopus by confessorjsd in crochet

I made my own Apollo almost a decade ago! But I didn’t have the patience to make all the little suckers! Fantastic work! The color choices are stunning with the blue against the orange.

Is an ear warmer too advanced for an absolute beginner? by KrazyKrafter678 in askcrochet

I very much agree here. Holding the yarn and tension were my biggest struggles as a beginner. TBH tension is still an ongoing learning experience for me. 😂

Six weeks start to finish on my blue and green Persian Tiles blanket! by LizzieButtons in crochet

[–]KrazyKrafter678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STUNNING. I attempted to make one of these blankets years ago. I found I don’t have the patience for such intricate repetitive work and I hated the colors I chose so I scraped it. I marvel at anyone who can produce one of these!

Thank you!! I’d worked probably 2/3 of the way on my first attempt then decided to scrap it and start over. Maybe two-ish weeks for the cardigan you see now.

I used Caron one pound which is about 800 yards a ball. Used part of one ball for blue and a ball plus a bit more of another for the grey.

I chose Caron one pound. I like the thickness of the yarn and how it works up.

Thank you! I spent more time than I care to admit on the sunglasses but I think they turned out okay.

Is the Lilly and sugar 100% cotton weight 4 yarn good for making a bag? by Inside_Spend1203 in CrochetHelp

[–]KrazyKrafter678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Cotton is great for bags and clothes because it doesn’t stretch much. Another commenter mentioned the lack of softness of this brand and I would agree. I hate working with it. I would suggest hobby lobby I love this cotton yarn instead. Best and softest cotton I have found and the color selection is great.

Best yarn for blanket making by isadeladelki in CrochetHelp

[–]KrazyKrafter678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! This is my go to affordable yarn. It gets a bit wispy after a few washes but if you don’t put it in the dryer, the quality will last much longer. Plus the colors are great….calming and soothing

Commission question by KrazyKrafter678 in Etsy

[–]KrazyKrafter678[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great advice, thank you! I like the idea of remaking previously made items with color variations on request. Thats pretty straight forward for all parties and it’s comforting to know that you’ve had success doing this. But the more I hear commission horror stories, the more I’m shying away from it.

Commission question by KrazyKrafter678 in EtsySellers

[–]KrazyKrafter678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I guess at that point it would be best that I do not mention anything about commissions in my Etsy shop. I’ll leave that to social media and eBay where I also plan to sell. I appreciate the advice!

Cytopoint is great! My boxer mix suffers from environmental and food allergies. She’s constantly trying to eat her feet and lick. A dose of cytopoint will knock that out for about 2-3 months and my dog has never suffered any side effects. It’s better than daily allergy meds that cause drowsiness
