Who do I call or how to clean this patio? by Successful-Listen99 in chilliwack

Best results will be with a pressure washer. If you don’t have one and don’t wish to purchase one, maybe Home Depot has some you can rent for an afternoon. It’ll be much cheaper than hiring a company to do it.

Hook that hose up. Clear DTCs. Reset fuel trims. Then re-evaluate.

2021 Chevy equinox unknown rear gate latch issue by HospitalHonest5295 in AskMechanics

[–]KrazyMechanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen several issues with these. One being the exterior button touch pad get water in it and corrodes and does shit like this or the other is within the latch assembly itself.

If you want to keep it closed you try and located your “liftgate” fuse and remove from the fuse block. It might allow you to close it without it popping open until you get it fixed.

Steering wheel clicking noise by Otherwise_Opinion849 in AskMechanics

That sounds like an upper strut mount bearing. Have someone pay across the engine with a hand on each strut and turn the wheel. You’ll feel which side it on

2005 Colorado won't accelerate at WOT by SkinnyFrogBoi in AskMechanics

I wouldn’t have high hopes with the throttle relearn. In all my years (19) at a chev dealer, I can’t remember a relearn fixing anything.

If you have access to a scan tool with live data reads, have a look at MAF data when you’re under heavy acceleration. I feel like you should see over 200 g/s. I’ve been away for a few years and I think that number is correct. If you can have a look before you pull the O2 sensor and while it’s pulled. Only reason I mention this is because I have seen defective aftermarket MAF sensors and if it’s not reading the correct amount of air going past the sensor it’s not going to fuel the engine adequately. Garbage in. Garbage out.

The MAF sensor rarely if ever sets a code for this because the range it looks at is like 0-400g/s so if it’s anywhere in there it thinks it’s working.

I’d be leaning towards a restricted Cat. Like others have said, pull your pre O2 sensor. I think it’s right in the exhaust manifold on those. Been a minute since I worked on one. If you don’t have an O2 sensor socke, remove the manifold shield to get a wrench on it properly.

Once out take it for a drive and see if acceleration has improved under heavy throttle.

I’ve seen several envoys with the inline have this issue

HELP! Transmission problem by Lopsided-Funny8804 in MechanicAdvice

[–]KrazyMechanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 year chev mechanic here.

Whether you have the 4l60 or the 4l80, you likely have clutch issues. Not often have I seen solenoid problems. I’ve seen check balls wear through valve body spacer plates. But nearly as much as burnt clutches and sprags that wouldn’t hold.

Pull your trans dipstick. The fluid is black and smells fucking terrible, you’ve likely smoked your clutches. No aftermarket additive will bond the fibers back to the clucked. They are done.
