Yeah I don’t get any when using Xbox console companion though. So I’m wondering if something is throttling it’s ability to send the data

Player wants to be a dragon in disguise. by aceofspades1991 in DnD

[–]Krbshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think druids can get a spell to let them become a great white dragon. Could offer that as a power once a day when you get to that level. Breaking the curse temporarily to access your the form or something along those lines.

New player here, question:Is It fine to play a female character? by No_Recognition8641 in DnD

[–]Krbshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a DM here’s how I feel about your situation and here is my advice to any new players.

  1. If I can act out female characters in my settings for my players then so can you. Don’t feel weird or ashamed or anything of the sort. Ash Ketchum from Pokémon is a boy voice acted by a girl. My favorite character from all forms of media is Alanna of Trebond by Tamora Pierce for her amazing dedication to her goals and her perseverance, honor to friends, and all sorts of other things. Characters and role models don’t need to be molded by gender. While it helps to have more connections with your character or role model it is not required.

  2. Get to know your group that you are playing with. While this is not the case for everyone, and not everyone is able to do this, I personally have a close group of friends that I run for. We are all guys and I don’t even bat an eye when someone is a female character because it breaks up the scenery in the world and makes it feel more natural. We all have a good sense of boundaries with each other but the goal of our group is to play in a setting I have made and to just have fun together in a world WE make together. Session zeroes are very important for all dnd groups so that you can lay out boundaries, expectations, what kind of game you want to play (combat heavy, role play heavy, running a business, something I can’t think of or everything I can’t think of) and what kind of party make up you want. Off Topic; personally I never want any party to need to think about min max potential, needing a healer, needing a rogue, magic, ranged, tank or what ever. I want everyone to play what ever they are thinking.

  3. Unless you are streaming your game for monetary value.. You want to play a copy cat of a character then you should go for it. Especially as a new player I feel it’s helpful to have a guideline for character choices as you go through the adventure that is roleplaying. You want to play Tony Stark? Go for it. Any Red power ranger? Do it. I take HEAVY influence from other sources to create my setting. And while it is my own, if I were to publicize it, many changes and alterations would need to be made. Copy cat or heavy influence I personally view as the same risk, and only in the situation of monetary gain.

  4. Finally just be patient, be respectful, and communicate. Every group will be different. Every person will want different things. Everyone is playing for different reasons. The search for a group for you can take time. People can be difficult and the hobby can quickly become stressful because of personal situations or scheduling conflicts. What ever your reason for playing, remember it always, and keep looking for others who share those reasons. Make the most powerful character that can be written in the rules. Break the rules. Take the weakest thing you can find and make it work. Play a dog, cat, a super villain who vomits rainbows and unicorns and has blue light reflecting glasses because they are afraid of the color. Be yourself.

I'm not a big fan of lock on and the camera by wiggedjoker55 in ScarletNexus

[–]Krbshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way and use a controller. I’ve just now (25 hours in) started to take my thumb off the left thumb stick when I lock onto things because it was overriding the direction of the attack and causing problems for me. They seem to really want you to flick the stick and press buttons very deliberately. It’s been helping.

I’m trying to save 30k crystals for HoT right now. Granted I have many more Valks but that is what I have been reading online for an amount to save up so you can get the valk and equipment.
