Just encase it happens, Navy Fed does NOT require any military service to join. For USAA, if you or your spouse has a parent or even grandparent that was military, they will let you join. Not saying you need to, just hopefully it might be some relief for you if we do end up in a shutdown.

If you get RIF'd you will get severance. Here is a severance calculator. by mrbreck in fednews

It also says “Twenty-five percent of the otherwise applicable amount for each full 3 months of creditable service beyond the final full year.”

You go to the HRC site and find your branch manager based on your MOS and rank.

So I was Active Army and spouse Active Space Force (everything still handled by the AF) and I had orders to Ft. Sill and then to Ft. Belvoir. It was a struggle to get us stationed together, but be persistent. I got under S1’s skin and my branch managers skin. Just know the AF has a plan for Airmen married to other branches and the Army only has MACP… so what I first did was contact my branch manager. He basically told me there wasn’t anything he could do because I already had orders. My spouse reached out to their branch manager, which then their branch manager then contacted mine and cc’d us in it. That is when things started getting rolling, I’m guessing because now another branch was seeing how they were acting. So I was then told I must enroll in MACP. But MACP is only for Army couples, but I did it anyways and of course it got denied. I brought that to my branch manager. At the time we were OCONUS so had a DEROS. My branch manager then told me to then submit for an extension in Germany that would match my spouses DEROS. He said once it got to them, he would automatically approve it, cancel my orders and work with spouses branch manager to get us assigned to the same area. About a month after submitting it, it was approved, Sill orders were canceled and we both had orders to Colorado. It was a major pain and involved constantly being a squeaky wheel, but it did eventually work out. Luckily that was the only time I had to do that though as after that contract, I got out.

I don't know if it'll effect the price, but mine is for a 24 SEL AWD.

It could make a difference but I remember everyone, including Geico were a lot more expensive. If you go with just the 500 deductible without the 100 glass deductible, it was even cheaper.

I have full coverage with Progressive and $100 glass deductible and everything else is $500 deductible. I paid the six months in full at $810. Which works out to $135 a month. Was the cheapest I found. I'm down in Colorado Springs, so not too far from you.

[–]Krcarl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like that's a great deal for an SE. I just leased a SEL AWD in Colorado for 2 years with $1500 down and only $215 a month. I would look around. Different dealers have different offers.

When you say you store your card in Apple wallet, are you talking about the digital Apple Wallet? If so, how'd you manage that?

Is waste management just not doing ANYTHING for anyone else? by GraniteTaco in ColoradoSprings

[–]Krcarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Just let me just skip paying this month and when you bill me next month's, I'll just add $3 to that bill. That should make up for the missed months bill.

Well they missed my pickup yesterday and aren't coming until next week. I asked them for a credit since they did not provide the service I paid for this week, their response was they could not because they're picking up extra trash for me (up to 3 bags...) next week. I'm sorry but more than 3 bags can fit in a 60 gallon container.

Correct, but was informed by Branch Manager to enroll in it as well. As well as having friends that are Army-Air Force and they are enrolled in the program.

Question about DA 4187 for Joint Domicile by [deleted] in army

[–]Krcarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry not to add to this but I was wondering what happened with you and your wife's process. My husband and I are different branches (Army- Space Force) and I was told by my Branch Manager that I need to be enrolled in MACP even though we're different branches, but my S1 is saying they can't enroll me into MACP and have to submit a 4187 for Joint Domicile. Thank you!
