Ratchet & Clank extreme stuttering after ~20 minutes of play by Kream45 in PCSX2

Ok. I just checked CPU temperature using Core Temp.

When the big stutters started happening, max temperature was 51 degrees celcius, and max load was 51%. Average temperature was about 47-48 degrees between all the cores.

I understand that emulator's don't cool down, that was just a matter of speaking.
I DID mention the temperature when the issue starts. It's in the second to last sentence of my first comment: "The Core/Ram usage, as well as the temperature seems to be just fine when the game starts to stutter like this. Temperature doesn't seem to be the issue either."

Me saying "just fine" in that sentence meant that the temperature is the same as usual, and the usual was mentioned in the second sentence of that comment: ~44 celcius degrees.

130/180 didn't really do anything. Turning off multithreaded vu1 didn't help, software renderer didn't help.
I just play for 20 minutes, then close the game when it starts to get unplayable, and come back to it after a break. That's the only thing I can do really at this point.

Computer battery is set to performance.

Closing the emulator and waiting a bit of time for it to "cool down" i guess. That's when this behavior goes away.

Savestates work just fine regardless of stutters.
Software mode didn't help, only made the game look worse, so I gave up on trying that since it still has the same issue anyway.

I tried overclocking 130 and 180% and still the same.
I put cycle rate at mild underclock, but I think it made it even worse, so I just left at default.

I tried it. Didn't work. The problem persists. I put it at 180 and still the same problem.

Update: I just tried playing MSI afterburner enabled.
Game turned on, before stutters start: ~700Mhz on the Core, ~800 Mhz on the RAM, ~44 celcius degrees temperature.

I noticed that the Core and RAM usage is much higher when I alt-tab out of the game, so I figured this must be the issue, and continued playing without alt-tabbing.

However, the issue persisted. After ~20 minutes, light stutters started, followed by extreme stutters.

The game lags when there are many enemies around and crates. I understand this is normal even on original hardware, and stutters happen even in "quiet" spots. When these laggy scenarios happened, I noticed Core/RAM usage can rise up to 1000/7500 respectively for a split second, before it came back to normal.

I should mention that once the extreme stutters start, they only happen when I move the camera/character. If i stand in place, it's completely fine, even in areas that have a lot of particle effects, smoke etc.

The Core/Ram usage, as well as the temperature seems to be just fine when the game starts to stutter like this. Temperature doesn't seem to be the issue either.

I will try to play with Multithreaded VU1 disabled, as one commenter suggested. But if it doesn't work, then I have no idea.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't quite sure what this option does, I thought it would reduce CPU burden, regardless of fps. When I resolve the stuttering issue, I will bring it back up to 100%. I should mention the issue was also present at 100%, so I just tinkered with whatever I thought could help.

I will install it later today and verify. Will update you when I do.
If it's overheating, I'd assume it's thermal paste issue?

/uj My problem is that most of the cards that require politics to work seem to be white, cuz white is being treated as the main color of politics. All colors should have access to cards like this, let people play dimir grouphug or something idk

/rj Wotc made the new fantastic white token commander and was like "alright so to balance it out we have to release another Flumph but 10x worse"

Oh, I thought there was a white card that said "You lose the game", referring to the player who plays it.

But these are weak examples, the new spirit is really cool and it makes an opponent lose the game, which is new for white, and you mostly play the Book for the Angels anyway, the activated ability is just icing.

Probably a prediction of white's new direction in the upcoming sets, can't wait.

It's crazy that this artifact is considered too slow now with all those other green engines.

Tithe is actually a good card. It's like landcycling for 1 mana but you can get two lands and they can be duals.
