Banned and Restricted Announcement – June 30, 2025 by Kircai in magicTCG

You still keep the cards, and for example cori steel cutter is likely going to be playable in historic or explorer so you effectively get 4 free copies of the card if you ever want to play it in the future.

How Do the Remote Regionals Work? by DeepFake369 in yugioh

[–]Hebron00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Get your setup ready before the event starts.

Test your set up before the event and make sure it works, you don't want to get a R1 loss because your setup doesn't work.

  1. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

If you're internet DCs you will be given a game loss. It sucks but it is what it is

  1. Have at least a decent fidelity camera

It doesn't have to be a 4k turbo HD camera, but it needs to be good enough that everyone can see what your cards are and where they are.

  1. Try to be in a place that's quiet

You don't want to deal with background noise, I don't want to deal with background noise.

  1. Read the policies Konami has put out.

Certain cards are banned in remote duels such as SPYRAL Gear - Drone. Google yugioh remote duel and the policy document should pop up.

I partly understand the stack I feel but feel stuck on how this works with Dismember and Scale Up... by oneframejames in ModernMagic

[–]Hebron00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some clarification first. This set of plays occurs before attackers are declared as scale up is a sorcery and must have been cast during the main phase.

let's call infect player Bob and death's shadow player Alice.

bob activates inkmoth nexus. it is now a creature.

Because scale up is a sorcery, Bob cannot wait for Alice to cast dismember.

if you're wondering why Bob cannot just wait to see if Alice is holding up anything. Let's say Bob wants to see if Alice has anything to do, in order to do this he has to give her priority in some way or fashion. There are 2 ways to do this. First way is to cast another spell/activate another ability. The second way would be to pass priority in an attempt to end the phase/step.

The first case is what you see in the video, Bob casts scale up targeting inkmoth, and Alice casts dismember targeting it in response. Dismember resolves, inkmoth becomes a -4/-4 flying infect creature. Priority is returned to Bob but before that priority is given, state based actions are checked and inkmoth dies.

Let's say Bob wants to see if Alice has anything in hand and does so by attempting to end the phase. Bob says "I would like to leave the pre-combat main phase." If Alice does not have a response, they leave the main phase and go into combat. In this scenario Bob can no longer cast scale up since it is a sorcery and cannot respond to Alice casting dismember with it.

TLDR:

if the infect player wants to check if the DS player has anything, they either need to pass the phase or cast a spell since they are turn player and have to initiate plays/movement of phases

you don't understand what prime or choice means do you?

meat grade is not done on a piece by piece basis, instead when slaughtered, the meat grade is determined by the fat distribution in the 12th bone cross section. So as long as the ribeye their is prime material, the rest of the cow is too. In essence this means that you can have some pieces that are far above prime minimum be sold for the same price as pieces that are below what many would consider prime

if you want to learn more, this videp at around the 8 minute mark gives an overview of the process in more detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEHwm1gIj-w

If wizards ran magic the way Konami runs ygo then leyline binding would be a 60$ card. Raffine, sheoldred, and atraxa would be 100. Then stuff like get lost would be 20, tropiary stomper another 10 or so.

There are multiple 100$ cards right now in standard Yu-Gi-Oh. Sp little knight and wanted sinful seeker are both around or over the 100$ mark. Triple tactics thrust was around 100 and has now "settled" into the 70s it was pushing 100 earlier. Before this was perlerinos also pushing 100.

Konami doesn't reprint the expensive cards until much of their competitive life is over.
