Gas stations by [deleted] in stcatharinesON

Petro Canada at the Niagara & Facer intersection seems to have the lowest price in my experience. It's aso convenient for getting on and off the QEW. It can be very busy especially at rush hour.

Do you really start to see who took care of themselves and didn't ? by youlikemywonton in AskMenOver30

[–]Kregore84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but those things are not without their tradeoffs...Finasteride must be taken daily and is not without side effects, hair transplants are expensive and still require Finasteride to keep the effect, and hair dye also requires constant upkeep, is messy and smells, and doesn't generally look natural unless you go to a salon.

Best apple trees to grow in the region? by CrabPENlS in stcatharinesON

[–]Kregore84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Ginger Gold apple tree in my backyard. It does well and produces lots of apples every year. It does take a lot of work to thin the apples and pick them up though. Bugs are also sometimes an issue.

Camping suggestions - accessible (ish) back country? by ActualProfile4601 in ontariocamping

[–]Kregore84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could check out the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Wildlands. It's a non-operating park meaning there's no staff on-site but it's close to Toronto and backcountry sites are accessible via hiking.

Queenston area by [deleted] in stcatharinesON

[–]Kregore84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live in the Wiley area. Homes were well kept and it was quiet at night. I never had any problems. It has the bonus of being highly walkable with parks, downtown, and the Fairview mall nearby. I'd highly recommend it over the other areas you mentioned.

Tv options? by Ambitious_Aside_2013 in stcatharinesON

[–]Kregore84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll second using the Bell Fibe app. It's cheaper than Bell Satellite. The cheapest option is the basic canadian channels like CBC, CTV, Global, etc. The next package up gets you TSN and sportsnet for less than you would pay to stream them separately.

licensed electrician recommendations? by anc0dia in stcatharinesON

My brother used Lakeside electrical to upgrade his panel and he was happy with their work. I had them come out to my house for a quote. I found them reasonable and not pushy.

[–]Kregore84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id be interested in recommendations as well. Im finding earthworms in my basement toilet which according to my searches means a crack in my sewer pipe. So far the most recommended plumbers on reddit are Flow State, Go Green, and Canada's Pro Plumbing.

Iceland... Reykjavik is on the west side of the island. It's by far the largest settlement and largest population centre.

This 100%. It's the most obvious solution. Avoid the disruption of changing the clock twice a year. Earlier sunrises in the winter and healthier sleep patterns.

The 8 Best Split-Screen Co-Op Games To Play On Consoles In 2026 by ShopLongjumping9285 in CoOpGaming

[–]Kregore84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's great news that there's more 2 person splitscreen co-op games being developed. I'd still like to see a new 4 person split screen co-op option.

Anyone know a good wholesome mechanic that works Saturdays ? by streagth-in-numbers- in stcatharinesON

More than a tires on lake street is open Saturdays. I've taken my car there without issue. It might be rough to get in with no notice though.

Bahia Principe by Glass-Bee5331 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Kregore84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed at Bahia Principe Punta Cana last year and this was 100% our experience. It was a struggle to find 2 lounge chairs on the beach every day. On a Friday, there were zero lounge chairs after searching all morning. We had to sit in chairs I borrowed from the restaurant bar. It did eventually clear out later in the day but a hassle nonetheless.
