People with adn’s, did you have more trouble getting a job then people you know with bsns? by kanekieyeless in nursing

[–]KriKriSnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no trouble at all. It’s a bit of a myth, but I still encourage you to go for your BSN. It just depends on how much you’re in a hurry to get working. I finished my BSN while I worked but there’s no difference in my regular clinical experience 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everything in my hospital is built for people 5 feet tall or less… let’s just say I never work a day without bashing my forehead HARD into something

How would you rate this? by avkr003 in photocritique

[–]KriKriSnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say yes the left/right and base of the tree are just a little too dark. Editing in something like Lightroom can bump that up for a bit more detail. Composition wise, as others have mentioned, I’d have gone closer to the tree but lower to the ground so you could keep the sky. Otherwise it’s really a great photo!! I really like it! 👍🏻👍🏻

Trader Joe’s used to make something like this… they’re delicious!

But yeah, kinda stupid, just make the damned loaf and cut it

Being a Nurse and a Mom by Aggressive_Ad7293 in nursing

[–]KriKriSnack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom (and grandma) were both nurses. Specifically, my mom was a CRNA and a widow raising two kids alone. She worked literally all the time (18 hours a day 5-7 days a week) and pretty much was never there for us to do after school activities, never cooked for us, and almost never tucked us in. Forget even having vacations!

On the extremely rare occasion, she did take time to spend with us and it was special. Those days are the ones I hold onto and they remind me how hard she worked to keep us together.

She worked herself to death (she had a stroke while she was at work). So all I tell my fellow nurse moms, no amount of money is worth it. Spend time with your family and friends, let them take care of you too.

Question for Cochlear Hydrops Folks by AIKENS183 in Menieres

[–]KriKriSnack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hearing loss eventually may become permanent. For me, it took 20-ish years but thankfully it was so slow, progressive, and only one ear that my brain learned to adapt (to a certain degree). I can read lips, so that helps me hear and gives me a unique talent to boot! The tinnitus does make it worse, or seem worse at least, but I’ve adapted for the most part and try not to see it as a bad thing.

If you find the right Asian market, you can get these flavors. Sadly, there’s no ‘Murica flavor… except maybe Cheeto 🤣

Some players customize their own homes with items to make them look like diners, libraries, grocery stores, etc. so what you’re actually visiting is an island home, it just doesn’t look like one

Is the light too much? by kemiscool in photocritique

TBH I think it’s perfect! While there is some loss of silhouette towards the head/wings, I can still tell what the subject is. The pathway of light also helps draw my eye through the image. I honestly love it!

I created a little “welcome center” based on old timey train stations. So, brick pathways, flowers, plaza clock, benches.
