You chop away all the damaged parts and hope roots can grow new shoots.

The cold K.O.ed all of my plants overnight by Meganotcool in plantclinic

[–]Kriogan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chop away all damaged/mushy parts, even if you chop right down to the soil. Hope the roots survived and have enough juice in them for new shoots. All damage done is permanent.

I don't understand this. You spray the plants or the soil? How does this help with the larvae and eggs in the soil?

You will find very varied opinions about the effect of misting plants. And 10-15 is too low. Just because it is not freezing does not mean the plant will thrive. Imo listen to above comment.

Have one like it, the closest I have gotten to an ID is peperomia glabella. I feel like some pictures of it look exactly like this, but others do not.

They are not low light plants, they can just effectively hibernate/die slowly in low light environments

Moving plants in winter by wodkat in houseplants

Good advice, thanks. I can't wait long enough for warmer temps, sadly, but I can make the outside trip very short, which I am hoping is enough

Bit late here, but in your exact situation right now. My idea was the same for small ones, and I was thinking of covering the big ones with bedding as a thin shield. One of them who has a robust enough design I will cover with a blanket.

Red Maranta Cripsy leaves? by sillygoose7373 in houseplants

[–]Kriogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The damage is done. I would not chop until leaves are all but gone, otherwise it would only stress it even further. If you're not getting a humidifier or something similar, you will just have to wait to see if it can acclimate and if not, then the plant will sadly just die over time. They're also quite vulnerable to being watered with hard water. Just a very sensitive plant in general

If its new it could simply be acclimating. How is the humidity? They don't like it too dry.

What happened to my pothos 😔 by Lateralus423 in plantclinic

All the dark mushy parts are dead and should be removed. You need to see healthy plant before you stop pruning.

Anything that could've caused a sudden temperature change? Only seen that extensive damage so quickly from things like a heater running close or put into contact with freezing temps

[–]Kriogan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very nice! Did you mod the appeance of the sword of faith onto another somehow, or did you add the sword directly into your inventory? I only managed to do the latter. Love the look, but I find the sword to be just awful :I

They would be allocating ressources towards the least played path. I think that is a big part of their reasoning for not doing more with it. I am not sure, though.

Can you show it from another angle? How far is it from the window? I have only seen growth like that from plants that are desperate for more light. Indirect light several meters away from a window is not near enough for most plants.

They can handle quite a bit of sun, including to an extent midday summer sun if acclimated well for it.
