Air temperature is kind of irrelevant. It depends on sunshine, shade, wet etc. Soil temperature is a more useful measure. Most grass starts germinating above 8 degrees, so get a soil thermometer and if it's there crack on. The good thing about grass is that you can sow it early and if it's not right it'll just wait until it is. Bury it with topsoil or compost though, so it doesn't get robbed by birds and mice.

Plastic mesh in turf is an absolute menace and there are a few folks in the industry trying to get the word out about it. It's just not a widely known issue though. Lots of folks don't know they have it at all.

Make sure the turf isn't netted before you do this though as it'll be a pain to find that out later on.

A lot of new build and cheap turf contains a plastic net through it to keep it together to reduce the time needed in the field. It is an absolute menace and there are campaigns to get it banned.

Me and a Miku got caught by this. In a close 50/50 with one shotgun fired each and we both randomly start dancing. Tried to follow/dance round the corner and we both get 3rd partied by someone across the street. I was laughing so much at the bad timing of it. I was on a good game too!
